Media Projects
It was early in his ministry that Reverend Moon perceived the importance of the media in the realization of an ideal world, and he has since continued to invest in and develop his work in this field. The media projects have made a notable contribution to the task of informing humankind of his thought and work. A variety of daily newspapers, as well as weekly and monthly news magazines, have communicated his ideas and expanded a movement for a moral awakening throughout the world.
These publications, directed to the fulfillment of God's will, have paved the way for people to participate in the providence of God. Daily newspapers include the Segye Times (Segye Ilbo) in Korea, its sister paper the Segye Times in New York, the Sekai Nippo in Tokyo, the Washington Times and Noticias del Mundo in the United States, and Ultimas Noticias in Uruguay. In addition, a news wire service, the Free Press International (FPI), accelerates the communication of global news.
Insight, a well-established weekly news magazine, and also two monthly publications, the World and I (published separately in the United States and Korea), and Knowledge (published in Japan), have given a spiritually valuable service to the world's intelligentsia. In addition, a number of other monthly publications and ecumenical news organs published by organizations affiliated with the Unification movement have made noteworthy contributions.
Educational programs emphasizing the importance of home and family values, and elucidating the teachings of Reverend Moon in an age of chaos inundated by drugs, promiscuity and licentious media, have been broadcast via satellite and cable television.
Reverend Moon has also brought together journalists, critics and scholars to address the issue of responsibility in the media. To that end he has convened the World Media Conference, almost annually, since October 1978, with the intention of realizing a morally responsible news media while safeguarding global peace and freedom.

Publishing Houses
The communication of knowledge through the media is one of the most important activities of the Unification movement, with its aim of the complete salvation of humankind. In addition to establishing publications offices in each nation, Reverend Moon has launched several publishing companies including Paragon House, Accord, and Rose of Sharon Publishing (in the United States), Sung Hwa Publishing and Ju-ryu Il-nyum (in Korea), and Kogensha (in Japan).
