A Prayer for the Holy Wine Ceremony

Dr. Tyler O. Hendricks

I developed this prayer to be given by a Christian minister who officiated the Holy Wine Ceremony. It is a beautiful prayer and he was very happy with it. When you have Christian ministers giving the Holy Wine Ceremony, you can give them this prayer to say. Of course, you can make changes in the prayer according to your wisdom.

A Prayer for the Holy Wine Ceremony

Dear Heavenly Father,

In this Ceremony, Holy Communion has been taken by these couples, signifying their absolute bond of love with You.

Adam and Eve shared their love when they were not yet qualified to be husband and wife. (Gen 3:8-13) Reversing this mistake, these couples are ready to pledge that they will maintain Your Law of Heavenly Love.

To have the right to the Tree of Life, we must cleanse ourselves and become as virgins. Through this ceremony, You, O Father, have cleansed the original sin in these couples; You have restored the physical body. Satan has no claim over these individuals or their marriages. (Rev 22:14)

During the Marriage at Cana, Jesus turned water into wine. Through the Holy Wine Ceremony, O Father, please sanctify these couples' lineages in preparation to bestow Your Holy Blessing. (Jn 8:44)

During the Last Supper, Jesus invited us to break the bread, which represents his body, and drink the wine, representing his blood, to be a part of him. With this Holy Wine, O God Our Father, please allow these couples to partake of eternal life as Blessed husband and wife. (Mt 19:4-6)

We pray these things, with assurance of Your Faithfulness, in the name of Jesus Christ.

Amen.
