Rally for the Settlement of Cheon Il Guk

A Rally for the Settlement of Cheon Il Guk was successfully held in the main auditorium of the Cheonseong Wanglim Palace, at Chung Pyung Heaven and Earth Training Center, on Friday, March 4, 2005 at 10 am. It was attended by 12,000 members, comprised of blessed families from around Korea, peace ambassadors and San Su Won Mountain Hiking Club members.

The event, held for the concrete realization of Cheon Il Guk and to successfully dedicate the historic "King of Peace Crowning Ceremony of Cosmic Unity" was emceed by Secretary-General Song Young-seok of the newly established "campaign for establishing Hoon Dok Hae lifestyle" [unofficial translation], and proceeded as follows: opening declaration, holy song, prayer from Rev. Hwang Seon-jo, hoondok reading and speech by Rev. Kwak Chung-hwan, presentation of bouquets by Jeong Seong-min and Im Hwa-jeong couple, True Father's speech, bequeathal of Cheon Seong Gyeong, adoption of the Resolution by Rev. Yu Jeong-ok, three cheers of "Eog Mansei" led by Rev. Yang Chang-shik, and finally ending with the closing declaration.

Rev. Kwak explained briefly the main aspects of the providence, renewed with the opening of the fifth year of Cheon Il Guk. He began his speech by reading True Parents' words from Cheon Seong Gyeong on breaking throughwith the grassroots movement, and went on to talk about the significance of the event.

After reading from Cheon Seong Gyeong, in his speech Rev. Kwak stated, "You must bear in mind that, strictly speaking, the hoondok churches, whose establishment was instructed by the True Parents of Heaven, Earth, and Humankind, comprise the hoondok small group movement." He also emphasized, "In light of this, we must completely change our way of thinking, in that the hoondok church movement is not something that should be carried out only by the Family Federation or the church itself, but that all providential institutions and all blessed families must carry out small-group activities centered on hoondok reading, mobilizing all the resources and abilities they can muster."

Rev. Kwak also told his listeners, "Don't be confused by the changing external situation of the overall system." He also asserted with emphasis, "Unless you and your families become one in heart with the True Parents of Heaven, Earth and Humankind, who are the true parents, true teachers, true owners and true king and queen, you can never become the owners of Cheon Il Guk."

True Father delivered a speech entitled "Restoration of the Homeland of the True God," in which he said, "We still do not have God's nation. A person without a nation does not have an original hometown. Without a nation you cannot have a nationality. Without a nation there is no basis upon which you can register your existence. Therefore, our task in this life is to restore that nation." He also emphasized, "You must always live with the conviction, Our family protects that kingdom loved by True Parents. Thus, I must become a filial child before True Parents, and fulfill the path of a loyal citizen of the nation.'"

He went on to assert, "Dear members, first and foremost you must all give the blessing to your family and tribe, and centering on them, establish a tribal hoondok church. The success or failure of the Family Federation movement and the reunification of Korea, and, further, the providential victory or failure of the creation of one global family, depends on this initiative."

Lastly, Father placed emphasis on two points: "You must quickly break free from the customs and mindset belonging to the era before heaven. By practicing a life of the settlement of noon (in complete vertical alignment to God), offer yourselves in absolute faith, absolute love and absolute obedience to God and True Parents." He also encouraged the members with the words, "Have heavenly courage and push forward on the path of a true master, true teacher and true parent."

After that, Rev. Yu Jeong-og adopted the "Resolution of the Rally for the Realization of the Settlement of Cheon Il Guk", through which all pledged to establish the Fatherland of God, the kingdom of peace of Cheon Il Guk, through lives of hoondok reading and tribal blessing. As each item of the resolution was read out loud, the members gathered at the event held up their hands and resolved in loud voices to become the vanguard in working for the settlement of Cheon Il Guk.

The "Rally for the Settlement of Cheon Il Guk", which lasted for two hours, concluded with three cheers of Eok Mansei, led by Rev. Yang Chang-shik.
