The Words of Sun Myung Moon from 2011
Note: These notes are taken from a Peace TV video clip. They cannot be published as definitive texts and should never be used in the future as an "official" publication of True Father's words. However, they do provide a good idea of the "spirit" of the message. -- Rev. Katsumi Kambashi
"It was yesterday we visited Dokdo and Ulleungdo, which was a historical moment. But I don't have anybody with me here who accompanied me except True Mother. Anybody else? Wonju (Ms. McDevitt), did you come with me? ('Yes.') Come front and talk about what you felt when you went and came back, when you saw the people there. It was first time for me too to visit Dokdo and Ulleungdo. (To Ms. McDevitt) Sing first to make good atmosphere." (She sang and later she shared her testimony on her trip)
"Dokdo means not only '(lonely) island' but also 'lonely religion'. Do is ___ in Chinese Character but also it can be written as ___.
(Katsumi: 'Dokdo in Chinese Character is Dok) in this case means 'lonely' and Do means 'island(s),' and so together it means 'lonely island(s).' But as Father said here, 'Do' can be also written in Chinese Character as ___, which means 'way,' or 'religion. So if we change ___ with ___ which makes, 'Dokdo' it means 'lonely religion.' That's why Father said before that this island is like Father and Unification Church)
When we Unificationists sing the song ___ thinking Dokdo, your sympathy goes to this island. Dokdo is an amazing place. There are [two Dokdo islands] Father Dokdo and Mother Dokdo, and when I buy those in the future I will make a big square like air station."
"As of now, I have held long-hour Hoon Dok Hae, but from now on, I would like to visit local churches (in Korea), and it has been more than 10 years since the last time I did. I can imagine there are many changes during this period when I had been in the US, and I would like to see the difference between now and then."
Then Father asked all participants to become role models and owners from now on who can well receive international leaders and guests from abroad and win their respect.
