Around 20 brothers and sisters representing the different provinces of Mie, Nagoya, Osaka, Shiga, Gifu and neighboring central region convened at Mie Ken to charter the course of our new organization in line with the direction of the continental director Rev. Yong. The meeting was presided by no less than the regional and vice-regional ministers namely Mr. Roy Carumba and Mr. Bal Tuballa respectively with the absence of Mr. Joey Andaya as another vice-regional minister. Below are the minutes of the meeting for your perusal: 1. target goal for witnessing by 2010

Regional goal minimum is 120 people who have either received Divine Principle education, received true parents as the messiah and can be candidate for the blessing.

Each family was given the goal to have at least 3 spiritual children by the end of the year.

2. Strategies to attain the goal

A.) brochures and leaflets for witnessing -- a brochure for witnessing has been created and shown to the body for approval. final touches will be made and scout for possible printing cost before being finalized.

B.) Reproduce DVD movies about our movement and true parents to be made available for all members.

C.) Make a video presentation of family members before their early age and their present family as a way of witnessing about the blessing.

D.) For each prefecture or mission area, set at least a time to do a group witnessing at a certain period of the day to develop and generate spirit of team work and unity.

E.) Implement home church outreach -- divided by cluster, members can create fellowship and prayer meetings in their respective homes and take that chance of gathering to invite guests and create a warm atmosphere of friendship and brotherhood.

F.) Use our existing groups as a pr to create a wider array of possibilities in witnessing. (Sun-Band, Tongil-Mo Do, UFPA, children's choir)

G.) use the Sunday educational program of 2nd gen. to invite other children of non-member Filipino-Japanese families to join the program and be able to witness to their respective parents and families.

3. Creation of 5 different departments that will define the different functions of the organization: (functions and responsibilities of each department are defined in a separate file to be furnish to all heads of the department) each department will call a separate meeting among its members in each team in the future to discuss the details of each group.

They are divided into 2 groups according to the level of age from age 5 yrs. old, children are encourage to join the Japanese church and join the STF leadership training.

An educational program for the children is being systematized and any good ideas that you may input are much welcome through the leader of 2nd gen. Ms. Kono (wife of representatives from husband should serve as volunteer staff for the 2nd gen Sunday service on a rotation basis.

Consider the idea to invite the husbands to also give occasional Sunday message to the children.

5. Database of membership

Cluster leaders should Update our membership strength by creating a database of our membership that includes names (husband and wife), domicile, e-mail add, tel/fax# to be forwarded to Mr. Jun Flores for inputs. create a separate data sheet of information that includes parent's names, children's names, gender and birthday of children.

6. Regional council of elders

The regional council of elders was put up as an advisory body to the regional leadership set-up. more of the definitions and functions of the body is defined in the constitution and by-laws of the PUCM-J. several names were put into nomination subject for confirmation from respective nominees for their full consent and active participation that will be officially submitted to the national executive committee. once the confirmation and affirmation has been made, the council will hold their seats to deliver its duties and obligations.

7. Seminars

Every 1st Sunday of the month will be considered a regional 1-Day Seminar and venues will be arranged on earlier schedules depending on situations unless otherwise.

8. Proposal for a Permanent center

Rev. Park is not amenable to the idea of purchasing or renting a property at the moment because of the dwindling result of donations from loss of jobs and other factors.

The idea was raised with the issues based on necessity of the time. Do we really need a permanent center for our witnessing and growing community of faith if we have to define and make clear of our identity as unification church members? are we ready to step up and create inroads and foundations for our children to inherit our faith and traditions?

Shall we settle to buy, rent or not at all? a concession was reached to buy the time and search for cheaper, strategic location that the general membership can agree upon to finance apart from our monthly donations and tithing.

We would like to encourage everyone specially those who were not around during the meeting if you have additional inputs from the above meeting to please contact directly the Regional Ministers. your inputs will be highly appreciated. may we all find the depth of faith and strength of the journey as we discover our inherent values as sons and daughters of God and True Parents as we work and offer our humble contributions in the kingdom building in this most crucial time of God's Providence. may god's blessings be upon you and your families.

Sincerely yours,

sig. Roy Carumba
