Update No. 7 First Visit of Philippine National FFWPU Leader to Kyushu -- Okinawa Based Philippine Members towards the Accomplishment of Vision 2020

Those who are attending the lecture report of our National Leader of FFWPU Philippines, Rev. Julius Malicdem, tomorrow, Friday, May 3rd should remember the following:

1. Bring or buy your own bento or food for lunch ahead of time so you can just heat it at the center's kitchen at lunch time. You may still go to the nearby store but you have to eat your lunch at the video center since we don't have enough time.

Our National Leader has to leave the facility at about 2 p.m. to Hakata Shinkansen Station for his trip to Mie-Ken via Nagoya at 3:29 p.m.

2. Prepare your 1,000 yen per family registration fee. We need it to defray all our expenses for the event (to attend to our Philippine UM Leader and receive God's words from him directly).

Flash News our National Leader of FFWPU Philippines, Rev. Julius Malicdem arrived in Fukuoka today at about 2:10 p.m. He was first met by my wife, Kazuyo Ishikawa and then later by the couple of John Santillan and Masayo Ishikawa, the twin sister of my wife.

He is billeted at ETS Inn Hakata a few blocks away from my home.

We visited the Fukuoka Kyokai for an Aisatsu with local leaders. There was a very good exchange of pleasantries and ideas about Philippine Church and Japan Church goals for Vision 2020. The church leader, Shimokawa Kaicho, basically shared his admiration for the Filipinos contribution to the life of the church here in Fukuoka. In particular, the Japan Church leader of Takamiya Kyokai praised the efforts of John Santillan for bringing about 60 people mostly coming from Nepal to the video center or Seimekan.

In return, they expressed their gratitude to the church especially the Japanese staff of the video center and the church center for helping him educate these people that he witnessed through his work and connections at the 7-11 food factory. John emphasized how he used the possible employment in the factory as bait so students will attend principle lectures or UPF Ambassadors for Peace Seminars.

Tomorrow, the 3rd of May, registration will start at around 8:45 am and lecture seminar will start at 9:00 am. Please come tomorrow with an open mind and a heart of gratitude and thanks for our National Leader's love and effort to visit all of us here.

Although our situation here is different from those living on Mie-Ken and Tokyo, we are moving, we are helping each other in various physical and spiritual ways and are now producing results.

Please remember that this is not the power or work of John Santillan and Masayo Ishikawa's couple alone. God, True Parents, the Good Spirit World and all the indemnities of brothers and sisters, however small they are, have contributed to the success. This is not the work of one man or one couple alone. It is everyone's effort put together and made manifest through a couple representing everyone else. This is now the age of WE, not I, as our Continental Director emphasized.

Let us all remember that external achievements are a result of internal foundations not just of one person but of the whole. We have to think that the best measure of external achievement or success is internal growth and spiritual maturity. If we become arrogant, judgmental and self-righteous because of our achievements, then we are not reaping the good results of our efforts. God wants us to grow thru the things we do and achieve for Heaven.

After all, the best result of what we do is not just the renewal of the lives of others but the growth and resurrection of our spirituality, character and personality centered on heart.

See you brothers and sisters tomorrow. Sorry if this is too long, have a good night's sleep, safe trip and successful attendance tomorrow!!

Ahnyanggg!!
