3rd Visayas IFB Update for 7-1-2012- Dumaguete City – Needs a UPF Center ASAP

Dumaguete City DSWD is very supportive of the principle and wants to know more about it. The provincial and city governments of Dumaguete City and other cities are willing to provide additional chairs for participants and trucks to transport them to the place. DSWD asked if we could have 10,000 or more people because they can help educate and bring those people. DSWD officials are asking about the location of our office. But our UPF office right now is located in Bacong training center which is only presentable for students. Bacong center is basically made of light and mostly flammable materials that are not conducive for more public or VIP trainings and events.

Our National HQS staff led by Ate Shirley looked for an area near St. Paul University in Dumaguete City and found a place that is big, spacious with 6 rooms and a big ground for Tongil Moo Do, educational, music, social events and other activities. It is the most presentable and appropriate place for our VIP members and supporters.

However, we need to pay 45,00 pesos (2 months + 2 months deposit) to rent it (about Y90,000) plus additional expenses for electricity and water. Dumaguete born members (spiritually or physically), I challenge you to join me, Luz Banaybanay and Nelson Sabanal to support this UPF center.

Right now, leaders and members including our international Russian staff are in Dumaguete to help mobilize for the blessing on July 21, 2012 at the Macias Sports Complex. Leaders from other cities and provinces like Froilan Matbagan, Alex, Ate Connie, our Russian sister who serves in our PR department and others are already in Dumaguete City and visiting nearby cities, municipalities and barangays to educate and orient people about the importance, value, procedure and activities of the event.

Let us try harder brothers and sisters, I know it is very difficult for most or all of us but let us just keep going and try our best to do what we can to support this historical events.
