Now that True Mother is taking care of the church more directly, I am getting back the feeling of being a "family member"! It's been great having elder brothers and sisters, the True Children, take leadership, but it is not the same as directly attending the parents, on the church level.
I had almost forgotten the feeling of being a member of Unification Church family. In my early days of joining, I really felt cared for and did care for others in the church. Where did those feelings go?
In the past few decades, True Father had to push us "conditionally", to become parents ourselves and even tribal messiahs, due to the providential timeline he had to carry on to comfort God's Heart. He could no longer care for us as children, but as future leaders of the world, who would be mature enough (which we weren't) to care for Heavenly Parents.
...Thus, many 1st and 2nd generation, felt they had lost their parents, and left the church. The sense of belonging was lost; instead of the role of the Mother of the church/family members, True Mother had to take on the John the Baptist* (see reference) role for True Father, as the Messiah of Cosmos.
Having the foundation of (conditionally) uniting with True Father, the Messiah, now we are allowed to receive True Mother's love directly as church/family members. True Mother is now saying "Give Divine Principle lectures ", like we did in the early days. In that era, True Parents raised us up directly, and we were able to grow the church by thousands, as in the era from 1972 to 1980.
Thus, for the sake of God and Mankind, let's attend True Mother.
* "...At the time of Jesus Christ, the role of John the Baptist was similar to the bride's role, and through the fulfillment of his mission the perfected Jesus was to truly stand as the Messiah. These events of 2,000 years ago occurred on the national level, but the coming of the Second Advent will take place on the universal level, and Eve must take the role of John the Baptist in bringing perfected Adam to the world."
