Listen to the Teacher

Since childhood I have struggled following certain teachers, in school. Do we really need a teacher, and, what is a teacher? In life we come across so many people in the position to teach or train us. Yet, there is always the dilemma to follow them or not. A teacher seems to be an outsider, not part of one's nucleus family.

A teacher actually is playing the role of the archangel in the Garden, as the guiding light for Adam and Eve. They were the only beings designed to become the substantial image of God, yet, they needed instructors such as the Archangel Lucifer to guide them.

I have asked myself, why couldn't God have instructed Adam and Eve, instead?! God wanted parent-child relationship with his children, not instructor-student. So He created the angels as the teachers.

Thus, in order for us to become perfected sons and daughters of God, we need to first, serve and follow the teacher. Yet, the question always comes, "How do we know if this teacher will lead us to God and His family?" True Father once said, "we need at least 12 instructors that push us toward excellence from 12 different directions all at the same time." In other words, to be sure you are guided in the right direction, don't choose just one teacher but choose many so that you don't end up worshiping a single teacher (as Eve did toward Lucifer). Having many teachers will keep you humble and keep your perceptive balanced.

In Jin Nim, has mentioned about the discovery, that we need at least 10,000 hours of training to do any task into perfection. And perfection is the only goal to have, since our Heavenly Father has asked us to be perfect as He is. So, we must expect all our teachers to push us way beyond our limit, not leaving us with an idle moment.

If we follow this path of servant of servant, and serve the teacher (who is in the role of an angle and servant), we can gain the birthright to be God's children, and have the Parent-Child relationship with our Heavenly Parents.
