Greetings to you in the Beloved Name of Our True Parents!

Since this coming March 8th is the One Hundredth Anniversary of the International Women's Day 1911 to 2011, I would like to share with you about my reflections on the timeline of women throughout human history.

In the Old Testament, women were so slightly regarded that their names were not included in the genealogy of great men, only the names of the male ancestors. In the present day, Hassidic Jewish men around the world still pray daily, 'Blessed are You, Hashem, King of the Universe, for not having made me a woman.'

During the Middle Ages, 12 Century, women were considered the property of their husbands.

In 1412 to 1431 Saint Joan of Arc lived and was burned at the stake as a witch because she heard from God; and was later canonized in 1920...recognized as a Saint.

In 1911 the International Women's Day Movement was established to propagate women's rights. The original political and human rights theme was designated by the United Nations which brought to light the struggles of women in a hopeful manner -- worldwide...and thus it has become a major global celebration of women.

In 1912 the Feminist Suffrage movement came about and in August 26, 1920 the day of the Suffrage Battle was won.

The Women's Liberation Movement in the 1970's inspired women everywhere to stand up for their rights.

In 1992 Mrs. Hak Ja Han Moon, our True Mother, founded the Women's Federation For World Peace to encourage women to work more actively in promoting peace in their communities and greater society and it includes 143 member countries. As we stand on the merit of the age...and as we have entered the New Age of Eve before the Human Fall...let us get together in one unified heart and spirit to celebrate women everywhere, and propagate True Father's Words: Living for the sake of others. Around the world, on March 8, 2011, supporters, both men and women alike will meet on bridges to raise awareness and show their solidarity.

We have great opportunity to join those who are taking action by standing together in support of these issues: Education, Economics, Security, Health, Equality, Leadership, Empowerment, and Safety. Take Action and Join us on the bridge.
