The Institute of Korean Studies for Foreign Students is now accepting applications for students (Blessed Children) in the United States to study and learn the Korean language in Seoul, South Korea, for the academic year 2011-2012.

The GOP program will be entering its 30th year this autumn. Founded by our True Parents, the GOP program offers those students, ages 12–14, entering 7th and 8th grades, the opportunity to study the Korean language, become familiar with Korean culture and tradition, travel throughout the Fatherland, participate in key Unification Church activities, while living with other students from around the world.

All guidelines and documents, related to the GOP program and application process, as well as newsletters, can be found on a special GOP application website, www.familyfed.org/GOP.

In response to requests for educational opportunities for older students, in the autumn of 2010, the Institute of Korean Studies established a new language program for students from 15- 20 years old, entitled the Korean language Program (KLP). The KLP provides Korean language classes for four hours a day, five days a week, for 38 weeks, beginning early in September. Those students age 15 -- 17 may continue with their western courses on a home school basis. Those students age 18 -- 20 will have the opportunity to gain leadership experience with the GOP program by becoming a "prefect."
