1. TO INSPIRE THE MEMBERS

- On Sunday, April 3rd, 2005, we organized a one-day seminar on the Ambassadors for Peace providence for around 80 members.

- Heiner HANDSCHIN came with Olivier MILLET, from Switzerland. He spoke about the "vision of the Ambassadors for Peace program"

- Philippe JACQUES, Aidan and Hugo, came from Belgium. Philippe gave a testimony about their activities in Belgium.

- Paul FRANK, from Luxembourg, could send some very useful remarks.

- Hanna LOTTERIE gave the content of Karen SMITH, and Jean-François MOULINET shared part of Rev. KWAK’s lecture on "Transition of our Awareness".

- Brigitte WADA gave a report on some of the testimonies shared by other European members at the European leaders’ meeting in Roma.

We published a package that we distributed to each Blessed family.

It includes:

- a manual (including explanation about the providential meaning of the program, organizational recommendations, etc.)

- a CD, with some PowerPoint presentations (Five principles of Ambassadors for Peace, presentation of the IIFWP, etc.) More and more members learned how to present it.

- models of letters (invitation, recommendation, etc.)

- models of forms (application to become a Peace Ambassador, recommendation form)

- an approach book

We gave the possibility to each member to get:

- some personalized business cards

- a personal e-mail address

We developed a website www.batir-la-paix.org.

ESTABLISH GOALS

We decided to appoint an IIFWP responsible person to each area, and to divide the goal of 500 Peace Ambassadors by the areas and by the number of Blessed families in the area. (The goal is to appoint a minimum of 5 Peace Ambassadors per Blessed family.) The local or regional responsible person signed for a year.

PUBLICATIONS

We continued our newsletter "Bâtir la Paix". The most recent issue was distributed to each member of the Congress.

ONE-DAY SEMINAR

We developed a series of one-day seminars. For example: June 18 and September 17th in a catholic monastery in Paris, and in a protestant church in Lyon.

3 main topics:

"The 5 universal Principles of Peace Ambassadors"

"The Origin of conflict"

"Principles of Reconciliation"

+ a presentation by an Ambassador for Peace.

MOBILIZATION OF A TEAM IN PARIS

From October to December, one important help was the mobilization of a small team in Paris to help to find more Peace Ambassadors (Joël ADER, Christian COLLETER, Kathrin PLANE, Alain RAULOT, Brigitte WADA).

SMALLER PRESENTATIONS

Several other smaller meetings where held in Paris, Chartres, Tours, Strasbourg, Orsay, Lille, and in other associations and home of members.

COOPERATION WITH THE WOMEN’S FEDERATION

Some of the meetings were advertised as cultural events where we introduced the Japanese culture. Our Japanese wives invested a lot of effort to present different aspects of their culture, like music, dance, origami, calligraphy, etc. The second part of the event was used to present the "Five universal principles for Peace Ambassadors". On the local level, many guests signed up to become a Peace Ambassador during the meeting.

COOPERATION WITH THE AMBASSADORS FOR PEACE

We could bring around 30 AfP in Geneva.

Several among them recommended their friends and contacts to attend our meetings and to become a Peace Ambassador themselves.

We created, with Massimo TROMBIN, a team of Ambassadors for Peace to develop with them some service projects.

VISIT TO FOREIGN EMBASSIES AND TO CONGRESSMEN.

Myriam made appointments with the Ambassadors or other diplomatic personnel and went to visit several foreign Embassies with the proposal that the Ambassador be honoured with the title of "Ambassador for Peace".

INAUGURATION OF UPF IN PARIS

December 20, we finally organized the inauguration of UPF in France.

PLAN 2006

Education of Ambassadors for Peace: We are stimulated to translate and adapt the IEF material, because it corresponds well to the tendency of the French culture of "religious neutrality" and republican values. We will do that in cooperation with our Ambassadors for Peace, so that they can also take ownership of this project.
