About Mrs. Seiko Lee's Holiday Benefit Concert

November 21, 2001

82 W. Market St.
Red Hook. NY 12571

Hello Everyone,

You are warmly invited to a special Holiday Benefit Concert on Friday, December 22. It is my great pleasure to offer this concert of classical and holiday music with the support of International Relief Friendship Foundation which honors me with the role of a special peace ambassador and Women’s Federation for World Peace, two fine United Nations non-governmental organizations. The proceeds will benefit an African elementary school in Guinea Bissau and the Hopeline Orphanage in Zambia.

As co-founder of the Artists Association for World Peace, I have dedicated my performances for the past twelve years to healing various conflicts and problems for communities, nations, and the world. You may ask how music can solve these problems, but all human conflict, even family difficulties come from resentment. These issues hurt people’s hearts. My prayer through singing is to reach deep into people’s hearts, one by one, to heal and light the way to a better future.

Thank you to all my friends and their communities who support making my dream come true. Together let us create peace and harmony in communities, nations, and throughout the world. Most of all, my deepest gratitude is to God. Doors opened miraculously for my voice of peace to perform in North Korea as part of a 2006 Japanese Korean peace initiative. Such prayers are answered through the strong desire to heal the hearts of people all over the world.

The Seiko Lee world peace concert tour will begin from my beloved hometown, Barrytown. You are welcomed to share a delightful evening with us at the Unification Theological Seminary Interfaith Chapel at 30 Seminary Drive in Barrytown at 7PM on December 22.

As a representative for all of you who yearn for world peace, please use me as an instrument of your hearts. I will pass your love on to the world. Thank you for your support for African children through this concert. In this holiday season, harmony and world peace can be realized through music and singing.

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace.
Where there is hatred, let me sow love.
Where there is injury, pardon.
Where there is doubt, faith.
Where there is despair, hope.
Where there is darkness, light.
Where there is sadness, joy
-From St. Francis’ prayer-

Sincerely,
Seiko Lee
