We just received the following memo from President Chung Hwan Kwak:

On September 8 of this year, True Parents declared 4.4 Jeol (4.4 Commemoration). Following is my explanation to you of the meaning of this. In accordance with the new providence of Heaven, please go out and work for the expansion and development of Heaven's authority in each country.

At 9:40 in the morning of September 8, 1998, at North Garden in Kodiak, Alaska, True Parents gave a prayer of benediction for the declaration of 4.4 Jeol.

If we add together the numbers 1, 9, 9, 8, 9, and 8 (the date written in numerals), we get the number 44. On account of the fall of the human ancestors, Satan has been claiming ownership of the number 4 which is the number of Heaven's four position foundation. The number 4 has become a significant number in the dispensation to break this dominion and return it back to the heavenly side. For that reason, True Parents have declared 4.4 Jeol, which has restored and established the perfection number of the four position foundation of heaven, the perfection number of the four position foundation of earth, plus the first generation and second generation four position foundations.

In this era of a great turning point transcending the individual level to the national, world and cosmic levels, all the anguish (han) of God and humankind is to be healed. Moreover, the providence of restoration that will make a complete turn around possible is to be consummated. An ultimate and worldwide turning point is realized through the ideal family and ideal of the Blessing. As the preblessings for the 360 Million Couples Blessing by far exceed (perfection stage) and achieve the goal, this kind of declaration was made possible.

The absolute, central core of this era of turn around is True Parents, who, in the place of Adam and Eve, must resolve the anguish (han) of God.

Up to this point, Satan and the evil world has been collapsing due to the sacrificial conditions of indemnity being offered on Heaven's side. Heaven's side has not been able to launch an attacking form of resistance against Satan's side, and has been unable to attack directly. It has only been able to resist indirectly.

The installation of 4.4 Jeol means that God will be able to perform substantially His works of omnipresence, omniscience, and omnipotence. Heaven's side will be able to directly attack and judge Satan's side. Now the time has come when one who would cause sorrow to God and True Parents, or take the evil path, will be prevented from doing so.
