The pledge service and commemorative service for the 48th True Parents' Day was held on April 17, 2007 at the Cheon Jeong Gung Museum. This is the first True Parents' Day to be celebrated after Father declared the providential jubilee through the Rally to Declare the Beginning of a New Universal Civilization of Peace. More than 3,000 were gathered in the main hall of the museum.

True Parents were in the midst of a speaking tour in Korea that took them to a different city each day. Despite the tight schedule, True Parents looked fresh and healthy as they entered the hall in the morning. In preparation of the pledge service True Father lighted the candles in front of the altar.

Dr. Chung Hwan Kwak was the emcee for this day. The pledge service which began at 7:00 am was very brief. Everyone offered a bow to God and True Parents then recited the Family Pledge. Dr. Kwak offered the representative prayer. True Parents then cut the celebration cake and everybody sang together celebrating this day. Rev. Hideo Oyamada from Japan led the participants in three cheers of eog-mansei.

The commemorative service began from 10:00 am.

Rev. Sun Jo Hwang was the emcee for that day. In preparation for the service Rev. Hwang emphasized to the Ambassadors for Peace the need to learn the song, 'Blessing of Glory,' the Cheon Il Guk national anthem.

Rev. Hwang explained, "This song [Blessing of Glory] was the first song Father made after being released from Hungnam Prison. It reflects his heart of knowing God's will and his passion to fulfill it." "Soon this song will be sung in all corners of the world. That is why, our ambassadors for peace should learn this song."

At exactly 10:00 am, True Parents entered the room. All participants bowed and offered their respect to True Parents. The opening prayer was given by Rev. Dow Soon Lym, the chairman of the Unification Movement in Japan.

Professor Lan Young Moon, president of WFWP, came up and read the messages from the spirit world. She read the messages sent by two representatives from Christianity, Buddhism, Confucianism, Islam and communism.

Dr. Chung Hwan Kwak then came up and read some excerpts from Cheon Seong Gyeong on the significance of True Parents' Day. He explained that True Parents' Day was designated to commemorate True Parents' Holy Wedding which took place on March 1, 1960 on the lunar calendar. Since then it has been celebrated as one of the church's major Holy Days.

Dr. Kwak then read Peace Message 9, "God's Ideal Family and the Kingdom of the Peaceful, Ideal World."

After this reading, flowers were presented to True Parents.

Father then took the stage and delivered the same address that he was giving in his tour of Korea. He began by first emphasizing that we entered a historical era during which the Cheon Il Guk civilization will be established in our daily lives through the Rally to Declare the Beginning of a New Universal Civilization of Peace. He explained, "Even though there is a king in this era signaling a new beginning, our ambassadors for peace should study in earnest about the True Parents."

The speech for this day was entitled, A Providential View of the Pacific Rim Era in Light of God's Will. This was the speech Father delivered in Hawaii on March 17. He is also scheduled to read this on May 17.

As he read this speech Father emphasized that the Pacific Rim Era represented the women's culture and that we should quickly organize 120 in our clan centering on True Parents' words and to create a Cheon Il Guk civilization as the result of the 12,000 world speaking tour.

After the speech, Dr. Chang Shik Yang, regional president of North America 1, led the participants in three cheers of eog-mansei and added another cheer at the end for the completion of the Abel-type UN.

At the very end, True Father suddenly asked Rev. Lym to sing Daehan Jiriga, a song that was written by Rev. Yoon Kook Moon, True Father's great uncle.
