A new day is dawning in the Holy Land

The Ambassadors for Peace are absolutely springing to life all over the Holy Land as our teams of religious leaders and valiant church members are going throughout every city and every village. Our members are going to Moslem and Jewish towns and community centers. Basically every city is being touched by the love and heart of God coming through our True Parents. This is causing a revolution of hope in the Ambassadors for Peace. The other night we had a strategy session with 25 of them. Shuki Ben Ami, one of our key coordinators said that a new day is dawning for the Holy Land. It’s just unbelievable what is happening here. We are sitting with 25 Jews, Christians, Muslims, and Druze, religious leaders working together like one family.

I believe I know why Father Moon chose Dec. 22nd as the rally date. Dec. 21st is the shortest day of the year and therefore, the longest night. Dec. 22nd begins the end of the long night and the coming of the daylight. Therefore, I believe he chose the 22nd because on that day we begin to roll back the darkness forever in the Holy Land.

The gathering of the Ambassadors for Peace also included Dr. D, who has two Ph.D.’s and the unusual history of being born in Iran, raised in a Moslem culture but raised by Jewish parents, and finally becoming a Christian. He says he has all three sons of Abraham on his side. He can see what we are doing as the one thing that will open this up to touch the hearts of the people.

Imam Salahuddin from New Jersey spoke at our strategy session and said, I just want to testify as a Muslim that I believe with all my heart that Father Moon is fulfilling what the Koran predicts will occur – that is, the coming of the Messiah. This is the time when all the teachings and the prophesies are being fulfilled. Rev. Moon is the undisputed leader for world peace working in every nation. There is no other leader who has a presence and a spirit that exists in every single culture.

Mrs. Glaubach, wife of Prof. Glaubach, is thrilled to pieces . She is a beautiful woman and runs our phone bank with anywhere from 2 to 12 volunteers that she recruited herself. In the true spirit of a good Jewish mother she is constantly coming to our headquarters giving cookies and cake to all the volunteers. She literally sits down in the morning at 9:00 a.m. and does not get up from her seat until 11:00 p.m. Her focus is community centers and her efforts have provided a tremendous breakthrough. Every town has a community center that focuses primarily on young people from the ages of 12 to 18, with families being involved. Under the leadership of David Burgess, 5 teams of 4 people each have been visiting these community centers. A real breakthrough is occurring. Somehow the Jewish people are feeling a sense of trust for this effort. It certainly helps that Rachel Glaubach is the one assuring them that this is the day that the Jewish people will be comforted and given hope.

Rev, Tessie Willis of Texas and Rev. Philip Thomas are performing a beautiful soul-filled gospel hymn that moves everybody’s hearts. The mixture of East and West, black and white, Jewish, Christian and Muslim is the most amazing combination. People are literally signing up with joy to help.

Imam Bukhari, who’s been a long-time friend and Ambassador for Peace has sprung to life. He stood up after they sang and said, I pledge 30 buses. His mosque is right next to Al Aqsa mosque in the Old City of Jerusalem, and he is mobilizing sheiks throughout East Jerusalem and throughout Israel. As Father has mentioned, definitely the spirit world is moving. It is really stunning how open the imams and rabbis are. Another special couple came for the first time ever. They were visited by our team with Rev. Woods and they run a Jewish-Muslim children’s choir. This Muslim couple was so moved that somebody was literally working on bringing the three faiths together. In one day they completely became part of our movement.

The next night I was leaving the office at about 11:00 p.m. and a Muslim brother was just coming in. He had gotten off work and he wanted to help – send out faxes and make a few phone calls to his friends about the rally. He said, I ’m very sure that God called me to this movement.

Another Ambassador for Peace is Sheik Ali Birani, who is moving so many different communities to bring buses for December 22nd. He stood up and gave a very heartfelt testimony. He said the first person that introduced me to this movement was Dr. Eliezer Glaubach, and I didn’t know what to think. I’d never flown in an airplane in my life and pledged that I would never do so. I was invited to an IIFWP conference in New York, and suddenly I was faced with the idea of flying in an airplane. I absolutely did not want to fly. But then that night somehow I had a deep feeling from God that I must go to this conference, and that I must fly. Therefore, I decided to do it." When I got off the plane a very nice Jewish person met me in New York. His name was Hod Ben Zvi. He was so kind. I never had a Jewish person treat me like that. It won my heart." (Sheikh Ali Birani is a key leader of the Druze religion - the religion that came from Moses Father in Law - Jethro)
