The Words of the Jenkins Family

An American Hero - Michael Lamson - Prayer Request

Michael Jenkins
May 9, 2003

Dear Family,

One truly great American is to be honored and commended for tremendous sacrifice to build God's Kingdom. Rev. Michael Lamson suffered greatly from a recent attack by four men. (See note below). Fortunately he is recovering. We sincerely pray for him and know that his suffering and life risking course is clearly the sacrifice that God will use to multiply his blessing not only in our beloved Cameroon but also throughout the rest of Africa and the world.

The Cameroon Mission has been one of the most outstanding success stories in the mission field. Mike has gained the respect of the Administration as well as many international organizations. Members from Cameroon are outstanding. A large number have been students at UTS and a number are now working in America as fine Blessed Central Families.

LETS HELP CAMEROON AND SEND OUR THANKS TO GOD AND TRUE PARENTS FOR SUCH A GREAT AMERICAN LEADER. Our prayers are with you Michael.

Please send donations for his mission to Rev. Eric Holt, 4 West 43rd St., NY NY 10036 NOTE ON YOUR CHECK - FOR CAMEROON / Mike Lamson.

Sincerely,
MWJ

Subject: Back safely

When I returned to Cameroon, I was greeted by David at the airport, only to find that Mike Lamson couldn't come because he was recuperating from a knife attack - 4 men jumped his car - one stabbing for his heart - but by the grace of God missed and got his arm and leg instead (16 times). They took everything in the van, including some money, but fortunately not his life. Physically he is better but emotionally, of course, it will take time to heal. I thank you for your prayers.

It is only a reminder of the importance of our mission here, and that we have to work hard to reach our goals.
