Many Greetings From Korea

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Many greetings from Seoul, Korea.

We all arrived safely in Korea and all brothers and sisters from Europe being part of the special World Peace Task Force here in Korea are doing very well. It took us a while to adjust to the new environment. In the mean time we all feel very much at home here in Korea. Mainly because of the great love and care we are receiving from our True Parents, because of the great hospitably the Korean movement is giving us and due to the successful progress of our mission.

We are based at the Su Daek Ree training center where we have not only the opportunity to stay together as one team but where we could take part also in several important providential gatherings together with our True Parents.

Our first and main mission is to visit all 87 embassies located in Seoul. For this purpose we formed seven teams with twelve people each. We are visiting the embassies with almost no announcement or appointment and to our great surprise the result is enormous. So far just on the spot we could meet the Ambassadors from Austria, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Finland, Germany, Greece, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Slovakia, France and Hungary in person and had very positive and inspiring meetings. We are bringing with us a gift of three books, the Messages from the Spiritual World, Selected Speeches of Rev. Moon and a book summarizing the activities of our movement. Our aim is to invite the Ambassadors for the inauguration of IIPC here in Korea at the Little Angels Arts Performing Centre on 15. October 2003, one highlight of our mission over here. All of the Ambassadors promised to come or to send a high ranking delegation. We are so happy and thankful that our work shows such good results.

Several of us have been in Korea before for a couple of times but this time it is all different. We had the opportunity to join True Parents for Hoon Dok Hae at Han Man Dong and twelve representatives of us have been invited to the breakfast table. True Parents showed so much love to us by giving a gift to each of the Task Force members and by letting us know and deeply feel how important and significant our work is at this time of the providence.

Please let me mention a couple of points True Father told us at the breakfast table.

Our mission here in Korea is not only to visit Embassies but to form unity as a team transcending national, racial and religious differences and becoming real brothers and sisters. At the same time we should deeply study and touch the Korean culture the homeland of our True Parents. We need to understand God's Will and as representative of our True Parents we have to take ownership of Cheon Il Guk and the 4th Israel. We have to deeply feel and understand that we are the only one who can bring real World Peace because we know about God's heart and providence. True Father was so calm, peaceful and expressed his gratitude for not being alone any more seeing so many brothers and sisters around the world working hard for World Peace.

True Father several times mentioned about the importance of international, interracial and interreligious marriages as the main tradition to establish lasting World Peace. When we practice it within three generations all conflicts can be solved. True Father was so exited to talk about. He mentioned that it is even more exiting to practice it.

Again I was deeply moved to hear from True Father that he is praying every day for all nations around the world and especially for the seven providential nations.

True Father several times asked us if we can do our responsibilities and with loud voices we always answered, "YES Father!" True Father smiled and replied, "It is easy to say yes, but not so easy to do!" To the regret of us all he needed to express again his difficulties to talk to us through an interpreter and how much he wishes we would be able to understand him directly. May be we are able to understand only one third of the real meaning True Father would like to share with us.

It is True Father's hope and wish that all of us here in Korea can inherit as much as possible in the short time we are here and are able to bring back many blessings to our home and mission countries.

In this sense let us all have a big heart to be able to embrace each other and to go beyond all the differences dividing us to be one mankind and one family under God.

Yours sincerely,
Takenori Hashimoto
