CIG Membership Card - Updates

May 30, 2003

Thank you for your hard work. May God and True Parents' love and blessings be with you and your family! I would like to thank you for your interest and cooperation in registering for the CIG card.

We received many inquiries regarding registration. We are now processing all of the applications for CIG membership cards. I believe that you are anxiously waiting for your CIG cards and I have outlined below the procedural steps regarding the issuing of these cards:

1) National Headquarters (NHQ) receives all information, photos and registration fees from the blessed families.

2) NHQ

a) will put all information into a CIG card database

b) will check for payments of the registration fee

c) will match photos with applicants' information

3) After the above three steps are completed, NHQ will send all applicants information to the local church HQ.

4) Your local church HQ, centering on the church leader and committees, will review all the information which they receive and confirm applicants as their church members.

5) Your local church HQ will then send confirmed blessed families information back to NHQ.

6) NHQ will set up a final blessed families database and begin to make CIG cards. Note:

a) NHQ will issue the cards only to those members approved by the local church HQs.

b) If any applicant's information does not meet the three requirements in step #2, NHQ will place the application on hold until all three requirements are met.

7) NHQ will distribute the approved CIG cards through your local church HQ.

NHQ has processed and completed up to Step #2 all registrations that were received by the May 1st deadline. We will soon complete step #3, which entails sending the information back to the local church HQs by July, 5th 2003. NHQ will start to make the CIG cards depending on how soon local church HQs complete steps #4 and #5. I estimate that Steps 5-7 will then take approximately two months from July 5th. So please expect to start receiving your cards in September 2003.

Those who did not complete their applications before May 1, 2003, will be part of a second wave of applicants. The start of this second wave will be announced and posted on the www.familyfed.org <http://www.familyfed.org/> web page as soon as the details are finalized.

If you have further questions, please contact the CIG Membership Card Department at CIGcard@familyfed.org.

Thank you.
