Prayer-Wish Purification Ceremony for Restoration

The 'Prayer-Wish Purification Ceremony for Restoration' (Burning Ceremony) which is only held once every year in Chung Pyung, was held at the Tree of Love plaza from 8:30 pm on the 2nd day of the Purification Azalea Festival. During the Burning Ceremony, the offered Fulfillment of Wishes Papers (Wish Papers) are offered in the altar and is offered to heaven with sincere wishes with the burning flame. It is also a time to expunge the blessed ancestors' past records of sins as well as the restoration of hearts for the attending members.

The Burning Ceremony started by a great drum performance by the Gyeong-gi Region Dance Group and then carried out by the emcee, Rev. Myeong-gwan Lee, General Director of Chung Pyung Heaven and Earth Training Center. The program was followed by a representative prayer by Rev. Pyeong-rae Moon, National Messiah of Paraguay, and a beautiful song sang by the Guri Church Choir. After the congratulatory song, 8 attendants with blue gowns slowly entered the stage with the music and then was followed by Jin-te Choe, Region Leader for Region 7 came to the stage and read the 'Substantial Liberation'.

Members gave a huge applause as Heung Jin Nim and Dae Mo Nim appeared to the stage. 10 pastors gave a box full of Wish Papers and through her hands the Wish Papers were passed on to the altar. The Wish Papers contained all the Wish Papers that were offered during the Purification Azalea Festival as well as Wish Papers that were offered during the Japan Tour held in April as well as all the Wish Papers that were offered at Chung Pyung in the past year.

After receiving the holy flame from Dae Mo Nim, the lighters lit the altar with the shout, 'one, two, three, ignite!' The Wish Papers burned in great flames breaking down all the shadows of the attending members and burned strongly to the sky. Dae Mo Nim watched over the burning and a time of grace continued surging around the members with the help of Absolute Good Spirits.

After the sincere prayer for the Wish Papers, vocalist Mrs. Reiko Sakai sang 'Amazing Grace' and 'Purple Eternal Flower' and the pop singer Nabi (butterfly) sang the Cheongshim company song 'We will eternally be here' and other 2 songs raising the atmosphere of the Burning Ceremony.
