The Words of Dae Mo Nim (Mrs. Hyo Nam Kim - Hoon Mo Nim)

2010 Seunghwa Cultural Festival!

Dae Mo Nim
August 4, 2010

On August 4, 2010, at the dining hall of Cheonseong Wanglim Palace (Heavenly Palace) the '2010 Seunghwa Cultural Festival' was held with all the participants of Chung Pyung Workshop with Dae Mo Nim. The dining hall was crowded by blessed children from around the world, around 900 from Korea, around 150 from Japan and around 150 from the International side were there to celebrate this day.

The Seunghwa Cultural Festival is always held during the summer workshop where many children from around the world gather to Chung Pyung. Dae Mo Nim wanted to create a new culture, a culture centering on our beloved 2nd and 3rd generation in Cheon Il Guk. Dae Mo Nim prepared delicious food and a stage where each Seunghwa Students could perform their talents.

At 4:30 pm, the MC, lecturer Sang-o Kim, started the festival by welcoming Dae Mo Nim to the dining hall where all participants stood up and welcomed her with a big applause. First, there was Rev. Yeong-ho Ha, President of Chung Pyung Heaven and Earth Training Center, opening address, followed by Rev. Myeong-gwan Lee's prayer and a toast by Rev. Buk Moon, Japanese Office.

After the first part, the MC told all participants to eat their food; chicken, hot dogs, spaghetti, Korean noodles and so on. For the westerners it was great to see food other than kimchi and seafood soup, so they were very happy to see their own kind of food.

The second part of the festival started off by a beautiful song, a harmony by the Japanese Seunghwa Students. 30 members of the Japanese team came to the stage but the other 70 members stood at their seats and sang a beautiful song together.

After a big around of a applause for the beautiful song by the Japanese Seunghwa Students, the International Seunghwa Students came to the stage and danced. A dancing group was created during the 40-day workshop and practiced twice a week. They call themselves 'sparkling' and to their name, they sparkled in front of Dae Mo Nim.

Then came the Korean Seunghwa students who danced and sang exciting songs. It was very interesting for members to see all sorts of dances and songs and all clapped and sang together with their brothers and sisters from another country.

Sushi Rolls, a singing team from the International side sang 'Stand by me'. With such a beautiful vocal they really impressed the audience and Dae Mo Nim was really happy too. Following this there was a performance by the Japanese Seunghwa team from the General Chung Pyung 40-day Workshop who danced a really cute routine to the song 'Mickey Mouse March'. Then there was a powerful dance performed by the members of the Chanyang team.

After a well coordinated dance performed by the Korean Seunghwa Workshop staff there was a special performance by the Chung Pyung Training Center. A really interesting and breathtaking dance was performed by a representative of the training center who wanted to stay anonymous.

To end the great festival, a special band made by 2nd generations of the Cheongshim Church, the 'Cheongshim Seunghwa Band' performed two songs. All the members got to their feet and jumped around to the music.

After that, Dae Mo Nim came to the stage and all sang 'Sarang-he Tanshinun' (I love you) together and finished the '2010 Seunghwa Cultural Festival'.
