The Korean Food and Medicine Safe Agency gave the dinning hall of Chungshim International Academy the HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point) recognition on June 28, after passing through various extensive tests to prove the safety and care of the staff. This is a great accomplishment for the staff who has dedicated themselves over the past few months to receive this recognition.

HACCP is an internationally recognized method of identifying and managing risk and, when central to an active food safety program, can provide vendors, the public and government sector bodies with a high degree of comfort that food safety is being taken seriously and is well managed. The concept is not new however. Researchers and suppliers to the NASA space program developed the system to avoid the potentially disastrous consequences of failure above the earth's atmosphere. Today, many of the world's best manufacturers and vendors use the system as a basis for their quality management programs.

It is really hard to have the HACCP recognition and in Korea, there are still only 39 other places who have this. Furthermore, it is the first time for a school, like Chungshim International Academy, to receive such recognition.

The Chungshim International Academy not only provides great education but it also focuses on the health of their students. Today, the kitchen staff of Chungshim International Academy are researching and cooking for better quality food to provide.
