Re: UTS Online Course
Date: October 19, 2010

We are excited to announce a new five-week, UTS online course about the local implementation of Lovin' Life Ministries -- with a price discount when you do the class as a small group. The course starts the week of November 1.

This engaging course entitled, "The Next Generation of Unification Ministry" is taught by Dr. Tyler Hendricks who is a staff member for the HSA-UWC Education Team. It also includes a talk by Heather Thalheimer, Director of Ministry Development and Education.

Who Is It For?

We recommend the course for District Directors, State and Community Leaders and your core members who are inspired to develop the local church based on Rev. In Jin Moon's leadership. The Ministry course is non-credit but will be part of a certification course that is under construction that will lead to ordination.

What Will I Learn?

The course will spend one week on each component of Lovin' Life Ministries -- inspire, empower, connect, contribute and inherit. It shows how the Lovin' Life ministry structure has learned from the Rick Warren-Saddleback Church model, as well as Willow Creek and other churches, to create the next generation of Unification Church ministry. The course also highlights the unique content and methodology that Rev. In Jin Moon's Ministry brings to the development of the American church.

More information can be found at www.uts.edu/lifelong-learning.html. (While you are there, check out the other four courses. Each offers valuable knowledge and skills. Please share them with your members.)

How Can I Benefit The Most?

You can take the course individually, or can gather a small group for an hour once a week for the YouTube presentations and discussion forum. When ministry teams go through this together, the impact is multiplied for the community. You would need one computer with a large monitor, or, if that is not big enough, a projector and sound system.

How Can I Get The Discount?

HSA is committed to empowering local church communities. If you take this course as a small group, groups of 2-4 get a $10 rebate per person. Groups of 5 or more get a $20 rebate per person. For individual students the cost is $155.
