Dear all,

I have not been posting so much due to the creation of a new focus and direction for Sun Hwa Academy. I just wanted to send out this brief blurb to everyone, in case they had a child interested in participating in the upcoming semester at Sun Hwa.

Here's the latest:

Sun Hwa Academy is increasing its focus on the arts as of 2008, embracing both digital and traditional art forms.

Adobe's CS3 suite will be among the digital formats studied. Students can also learn sculpting, throwing on the potter's wheel, and other forms of clay building. Sun Hwa will officially become an Academy of the Arts as of January 2008.

Students are accepted from age 18 through 25. Regular academics also accompany the program of those of high school age.

All students attending are required to own their own computer -- either laptop or desktop -- with wireless internet capacity.

Morning and evening service are part of the Sun Hwa program, as well as a public lifestyle of living for the sake of others. Sun Hwa's leadership training will benefit all ages, prepping them to become good individuals, as well as good spouses and good parents who can maintain a lifetime focus of helping their community.

The cost of room, board and tuition is $450 a month.

On weekend trips every other month, Sun Hwa will be helping to build a camp facility for 2nd and future generations in the Hill Country of Texas at the 200 acre Morgan ranch. Camping skills will also be taught.

Students are active in the local church program of Houston and will assist in the development of the Youth Ambassadors for Peace program.

Exploring the Texas wetlands to learn wildlife photography as well as boating, camping, sailing, and canoeing are also part of the Sun Hwa program.

Those interested in participating in the program, please contact DJ Brewer.
