Passing Away of Kuya Zinc Bacalares

September 8, 2003

Kuya Zinc Bacalares is gone! He passed away to Spirit World at 7:00 pm today, the 7th of September, approximately 3 days after his electrocution accident. He is survived by his wife, Yoshiko, and 4 little kids: Grace-5 years old;Hesel 4 years old; Hana 2 years old and Lemuel 8 months old. As of this writing, his body is traveling from Baguio General Hospital, where he died, to his mission place in La Union where he was serving, as manager of IWC with is wife. Top leaders of the Philippine Unification Movement led by Rev. Dr. Michael Zablan will be arriving tomorrow in the afternoon in San Fernando, where Kuya Zinc used to give his sermons on Sunday to pay homage to his body and to discuss in the succeeding steps for Kuya Zinc's Sung Hwa Ceremony.

The death of our dearest elder brother Kuya Zinc is an offering to the UN Providence of the Philippines. It is reported that days before the accident, the Philippine proposal for an Inter-Religious body in the UN that has already been approved by Congress was refused for signing by President Arroyo. Said Reluctance on the part of Arroyo to sign is reportedly a reaction to a commentary of the Washington Times (owned by True Parents) that tackled on the inaptness and corruption of her administration while portraying Panfilo Lacson- the coming hero as the most credible winner and probable successor.

Tita Genie Kagawa has been busily fleeting back and forth in the halls of Malacanang looking for prominent people who could help her persuade Mrs Arroyo to sign. Finally, after Mrs Arroyo signed the proposal, Kuya Zinc died.It seemed that his suffering took longer just to get the approval of the UN Proposal by the Philippine President. The dath of Kuya Zinc is also timed after the end of the Leaders Conference at the HQ in Manila. Looking back still, the late Arwin(offering for Thailand Providence) and Kuya Zinc have things in common. They are softhearted, soft-spoken, pure, joyful and loyal disciples of True Parents who have remained steadfast to their mission until the end.

This and many narratives in the simplicity and greatness of Kuya Zinc will appear. For now, let us content ourselves with what we can do and how best we can give it. And, of course , what lessons we can get from his offering and how to turn all these for the greater success of the UN Providence .And more so , how to live our lives from now expecting that no one knows how or when our turn will come. Donation arrangements are still the same. Give whatever amount you have with your prayers quickly through:

Those who cannot meet the deadline on Tuesday after Lunch will have to make it before the end of the week, September 8-12, 2003, so you can extend your precious sympathies to such a lovely but needy family of Kuya Zinc . Let us live his example and remember him for his effort for the Philippine Providence. Let us continue to support his family and all the families who need our collective benevolence and assistance in the times of need.

Thank you.

Most Sincerely,
