Numero 8 Tell me why

Yeah, somehow it took a long time to get back into the swing of things so we didn't start this up until about a week after we got back. So how's everyone doing these days? It seems that our address book was messed up so some people weren't getting our issues. Sorry, we fixed up as much as we could but still I'm sure some of the addresses just aren't there. This week is mostly just about the Korea trip, we have to cover a lot so … Anyway, we hope u enjoy.

STF in Korea

We'd heard since last year that STF this year would be going to Korea sometime during the year, but wow, when u think about it, I can't believe we actually were there. We did and went to so many different things that it feels like it's been like, a whole month there. The schedule we kept was pretty flexible, there'd be some particular events or activities we'd attend, and we'd get a lot of free time to wander around in Seoul. One of the main things we went to do there was the WCSF (World Culture and Sports Festival) representing America. Last time, America whipped all the competition pretty badly, but uh¡¦. this time we (uhh totally) gave back the victory flag (whatever it's called). I mean, we've been on STF anywhere from six months to eighteen months and most people are pretty outta shape, and we had no time to practice as a team, and yeah. ETC.

So that's how that went.

The Mr./Miss University contest, where our very own Mitsy and David competed with like, thirty other international university students went off a little weird. Weird because, ok, David made it to the finals, he had the best talent, and the most support from the crowd, but Mr. Korea ended up winning. But it was great fun watching and cheering David and Mitsy on, and probably they had fun doing the whole thing too. Ummm, we went to Father's birthday celebration. I personally was a bit surprised when the main topic of Father's speech was the unity of North and South Korea. Maybe he wants really to emphasize how much he wants to focus on that. Oh yeah, Dan Quayle was there. Haha. I'm sorry. And some other important religious dignitaries¡¦ I'm sure the Nation of Islam, a Christian and Catholic, ummm Buddist¡¦. The whole place was packed and it wasn't exciting, but it was somehow very nice to be there.

What else did we do?

Oh, yeah haha. The Blessing. WELL. That was something. The Second Gen aisle was dead cKonniand a couple of couples were the representative 36 couples. Jago and Estelle, Lane and Sebastian, Jaga and Anne, John and Eunha, Jenny and Chris (gave flowers). anyone else?? And everyone looked beautiful. It was just a really cute, fuzzy, heart-warmand a couple of couples were the representative 36 couples. Jago and Estelle, Lane and Sebastian, Jaga and Anne, John and Eunha, Jenny and Chris (gave flowers). anyone else?? And everyone looked beautiful. It was just a really cute, fuzzy, heart-warmKonniene to see all the guys helping their ¡°spouses¡± with their dresses or whatever. You guys read Eunha and Lane's testimonies? It's circulating around so it'll probably be pretty easy to get it. If u haven't got it but want to, u can ask either me or ene to see all the guys helping their ¡°spouses¡± with their dresses or whatever. You guys read Eunha and Lane's testimonies? It's circulating around so it'll probably be pretty easy to get it. If u haven't got it but want to, u can ask either me or Konni too. Anyways, congratulations and best of luck in the future to all them. We love you.

If you guys were randomly interested, we stayed at this motel type place, Dae Ha and well, we were never there we just went there to sleep, but we were pretty noisy in the halls and they got annoyed at us. And we actually did a real PLA rally at Seoul Station. There was like, a lot, I don't want to estimate, but like, 500?? foreign western-ish people trying to shout out these Korean phrases¡¦ (they were pretty simple so no problems there) on those hecka hecka crowded streets of Seoul¡¦. so it may have looked interesting We got media coverage and the ending wasn't so strong cuz we ended up in a empty school field, but yeah it must have gone off pretty well.

There isn't really so much else I can think of? If you want to know anything in particular, u can ask. It took us like four days to recover from that trip. But it was so fun and nice to get that break. I was thinking maybe we could add some pictures we had as an attachment for all you guys. Maybe.

Right now we're preparing for the March teaching period, there's a condensed focus team here, for teaching teams, the promo team, outreach and recruiting new student teachers. We're pretty busy. As always I guess. The rest of STF is of doing MFT and witnessing for about two weeks, then there'll be a five day PLA workshop for the STFers and pretty much will be getting into the new semester (for us).

So that's it for Issue 8. Sorry it's all about Korea, and it's a bit late.

Adios you guys.
