Dr. and Mrs. Mike Mickler, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Bowers and other couples set up a Family Federation booth at the Ulster County Fair in early August and Blessed 500 couples in five days. Using a cardboard cut-out of a bride and groom and an offer of a free rose to each couple, they were able to draw many curious inquiries which led quickly to a 10-minute, marriage rededication ceremony. Several members of the staff and faculty, including President and Mrs. Shimmyo, have now reached the goal of 185 couples.
