Rally for the Victorious Liberation of Homeland Restoration for Cosmic Peace based on the Return of Heaven and Earth to God

On August 20, 2006, people from around Korea gathered at the KINTEX convention hall in Goyang city, Gyeonggido to take part in the "Rally for the Victorious Liberation of Homeland Restoration for Cosmic Peace based on the Return of Heaven and Earth to God" for welcoming True Mother and the members of the True Family upon their return from the 120 nation world tour for the Universal Peace Federation Rally for the Restoration of the Homeland, and to inherit the victory and accomplishments True Parents' achieved in their course of building the kingdom of God's peaceful, ideal world. The rally was organized by the Universal Peace Federation.

The rally this day coincided with the 21st anniversary of True Father's release from Danbury prison and was held to commemorate the completion of True Mother's 180 nation world tour as the co-founder of UPF. She successfully finished the tour on August 19 with the last stop in Hong Kong, and arrived in Korea on August 20, at 11a.m. Over 30,000 participants were there that day including prominent leaders of each sector of society, ambassadors for peace and UPF members.

Rev. Sunjo Hwang, president of FFWPU Korea, was the emcee for that day. The emcee introduced the guests who were there that day: Dr. Minha Kim (former executive vice-chairman of the National Unification Advisory Council), Dr. Bongho Kim (former deputy speaker of the house), Dr. Cheolgi Lee (former president of Cheondongyo), Ven. Yonghwa Na (head of the Limjae order of Korean Buddhism), Wooseuk Kim (former minister of construction and transportation), Cheolgwon Jo (former minister of labor), Moondo Heo (former minister of unification), Donwook Kim, Jungsoo Moon, Sanghee Lee (former members of parliament), Bongtae Kim (president of Sunmoon University).

Rev. Chunghwan Kwak, chairman of UPF, gave an address for that day. In his address Rev. Kwak explained the significance of the rally saying,

"This rally is to commemorate the second anniversary of the 'Blessing for Registration in Cheon Il Guk for the Revolution of True Heart and for True Liberation and Complete Freedom' which was held centering on the national assembly in Korea and to celebrate the victory of the 180 nation world tour for the Universal Peace Federation Rally for the Restoration of the Homeland which was achieved through the complete unity of heart, body and mindset of two generations within the True Family between the True Parents and True Children. It is also a day to commemorate the 21st anniversary of True Father's release from Danbury prison in which he was unjustly incarcerated in America."
"Fortunately for us, we have come to enjoy the benefits of the providential heavenly fortune while living in the same time sphere of the True Parents."
"During the entrance ceremony and coronation of the king and queen of cosmic peace, True Father emphasized that a lineage of purity and pure love is most important. There is nothing more important and of value than the blessing. Let us become the leading force in realizing a kingdom of everlasting peace by practicing True Father's instructions for all blessed families should fulfill their mission as tribal messiahs and national messiahs through hoondok and blessing."

After Rev. Kwak's address a video presentation titled "Inheritance and complete settlement! One great step towards cosmic peace!" was shown. After the video presentation, True Father delivered his keynote address.

True Father spoke under the title, "God's Ideal Family and the Kingdom of the Peaceful, Ideal World." In his speech he emphasized the importance of a peace movement centered on God and of the value of true love and the exchange blessing marriage.

"Peace movements always encountered limitations and failure throughout history because they were carried out by imperfect human beings."
"Only a peace movement guided by God will bring about a peaceful, ideal world."
"Then what is true love? Its essence is to give, to live for the sake of others and for the sake of the whole."
"The main attributes of true love are that it is absolute, unique, unchanging and eternal, so whoever practices God's true love will live with God, share His happiness, and enjoy the right to participate as an equal in His work."
"It has the power to dissipate the barriers fallen human beings created, including national boundaries and the barriers of race and even religion."

True Father emphasized that true love should be at the heart of any peace movement.

"In God's sight, skin color makes no difference. God does not recognize national borders. God does not stand behind the barriers of religion and culture."
"This contributes to the enormous task of transcending the barriers of race, culture, nationality, ethnicity and religion and creating one family of humankind."

This was followed by a holy water ceremony, declaration of wedding vows, benediction, and proclamation of the consummation of the wedding. Ambassadors for Peace, Dongwook Kim and Youngja Lee, as a couple presented flowers to the founders. Rev.
