The 2009 Photo Contest was yet again, a success. Around 100 people from 5 different countries had sent their photos to compete in the Photo Contest for the Purification Azalea Festival. This year’s contest was the 2nd Photo Contest and the qualities of photos were greater than of last years’.
The aim of the Photo Contest is to create a new Cheon Il Guk culture where all people, young to old could participate, compete and enjoy each other’s photographs. All the photos that are eligible for the Photo Contest are only those taken within the Chung Pyung Holy Ground boundary.
Same as last year, this year there were 3 themes that members could compete in, the Azalea theme, Family theme and the Landscape theme. Just before the Purification Azalea Festival, Dae Mo Nim, in the midst of her busy schedule, selected the photos for 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize for each theme.
The 1st prize winners were awarded by Dae Mo Nim on the 2nd Day of the Purification Azalea Festival. Below is the information of winners for each theme.
