The Words of the Koch Family

Closing Address of the Second European Conference

Peter Koch
October 31 -- November 2, 1970
President Elect
Essen, West Germany

President Elect (1971-1972) Peter Koch of Austria addresses the Conference

There are a few points on which I would say a few words. The purpose of the European Conference is to reach a higher degree of unity thereby increasing our strength. I'm sure we have built a better foundation for better co-operation in the in those three ways.

Like the child, who takes the giving love of his parents, at first we only take from God without being able to give back. This child changes consciously from taking to giving when an intensive exchange of give and take takes place between two partners in marriage. The highest stage of love is unconditional love, which God must receive from us, to seal us as his own. Just like parents love their children unconditionally, even when there is no response, so we have to show this kind of love to our father, although we do not feel his presence. Father can only then rely on us fully.

He wants to be loved in those three kinds of ways. First the father is loved by his child, second he is loved like a woman loves her husband, thirdly like a child is loved by his father. We can only fulfill this after we have experienced those situations.

Since 1960 Father has His family on earth and we all have found our True Parents. In the process of restoration we have to show that we are able to build a family and to love and lead our spiritual children just like we were loved and led by our father. This we have to show our father before He can take us as his children. We are all allowed to become children again and grow up in harmony and love of a true family, to prepare ourselves to become good parents to our children. Only when we accept God's kingdom like children, thankful, full of love and confidence, can we enter in fully. We become God's image only when we have no difference between each other, when we can meet everyone like brother and sister and serve and help each other.

It is written in Matthew 20: 26-29:

"…but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister; And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant: Even as the Son of Man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many. We can pay and buy our brothers and sisters from Satan. We can love strangers just like our own children, we are all allowed to become brothers and sisters, we are allowed to build God's family on earth, therefore we want to thank our Heavenly Father in a common prayer.
