The Words of the Elder Family |
We're on holiday all this week in Korea. I noticed that while I was away from my computer, Damian put out a false report about the Young Jin Moon Foundation.
Has everyone already figured out that Young Jin Moon Foundation pays NO compensation to ANY of its officers, including Kook Jin Nim? I can explain it, if necessary. But I guessing most people must have figured it out by now.
The Young Jin Moon Foundation headed by Kook Jin Nim donated $900,000 to HSA-UWC over the past three years, according to its tax returns available at www.guidestar.org/organizations/13-3911620/young-jin-moon-charitable-foundation.aspx (login required).
In 2010, the foundation had net revenue of $147,483 and expenses of $362,769, including a $300,000 grant to HSA-UWC. Most of the revenue came from investment gains.
In 2009, the foundation had net revenue of $403,841 and expenses of $347,500, including a $300,000 grant to HSA-UWC. Most of the revenue came from investment gains.
In 2008, the foundation had a net loss of $429,774 and expenses of $384,509, including a $300,000 grant to HSA-UWC.
During this same period, Young Jin Moon paid no compensation to any of its officers.
The Foundation describes itself as follows: "The Foundation operates exclusively to support of defined group of 501(c)(3) organizations, including HSA-UWC, Unification Theological Seminary and CARP."
