The Words of the Shaw Family |
After spending a week in the wonderful city of Korca, we arrived yesterday in Vlore. We all feel that the week we spent in Korca was successful, fun and overall a really fantastic experience.
The atmosphere present within the Carp center in Korca is buzzing with joy, sincerity and care. Together with the Carp members and guests we enjoyed football and volleyball matches, camping in a mountain (where we were visited by some wolves late at night) and a clean-up service project in a remote mountain village.
Through these activities we were able to develop deep friendships with the Carp members and we were really inspired by their dedicated attitude towards their mission but also by their warm and welcoming spirit.
Furthermore, they are a very funny bunch of people and we could share lots of laughter and jokes together. We could experience how sports can really bring young people together in a positive way and we hope Korca can continue inviting their guests to sporting events.
Our thoughts are with all in London (and other affected cities), we pray that the riots will soon stop and we send our love to the Kobayashi family for the loss of a beautiful husband and father.
