Re: Blessing Guidelines for Blessing 2004
Date: July 17th, 2004

Dear Leaders,

All Blessing Candidates should attend the Blessing in Korea on July 26th, 2004. However, the following exceptions apply,

1. You or your future spouse have a legal situation that does not allow you to leave the country.

2. You or your future spouse have a serious health or some other situation that does not allow you to leave the country.

3. You or your future spouse are 30 years or older.

If you belong to one of these three categories you may participate in one of the Satellite Blessings.

There will be three Satellite Blessing Sites in the USA.

1. For the East Coast - In New Jersey, at the KEA Church. Rev. and Mrs. Dong Mo Shin will be the Officiators under the guidance of Rev. In Hoi Lee. Call Rev. Shin, the KEA Director, for more information at 1-973-636-0040 or fax him at 1-973-636-0410.

2. For the Midwest – In Chicago - Rev. and Mrs. Ki Hoon Kim will be responsible and his couple will be the Officiators. Please call the Chicago Church for more information at 1-773-274-7441 or fax at 1-773-274-9860.

3. For the West Coast – In Los Angeles – Rev. Baek Joong Ku will be responsible and his couple will be the Officiators. Please call the Los Angeles Church for more information at 1-323-681-5291 or fax at 1-626-577-8688.

All Blessing Candidates who will be attending the Satellite Blessings must inform the church where you will attend the Blessing at least two days ahead of time. You also must inform the Co-Directors of the Blessed Family Department, Jim and Hiromi Stephens. Please send a written message in order to avoid any confusion or misspellings. You can reach them at email: blessing@familyfed.org or by fax at (410) 997-5134.

The traditional FFWPU dress code applies – Men wear a dark suit with white shirt and red tie, women wear a white wedding dress.

The Blessing Fee, as set by the International HQ, for this continent is $2,000 per person. For previously married couples, the fee is $2000 per couple. For any participant who was Blessed previously, who paid the full Blessing fee but that Blessing has broken, the fee for this Blessing is $500 (If a previously Blessed person is being Blessed to a first-time person, each should pay the fee appropriate to their category). This fee should be sent to the Blessed Family Department, UFC Building, 3224 16th Street NW, Washington, DC 20010.

If it is difficult for you to come up with the money at this time, you may arrange a payment plan with the Blessed Family Department. A minimum of $500 is required at this time. A Credit Card number must be given to guarantee full payment. Complete payment of the balance is due by December 31, 2004. If payments are not completed by that time, then the credit card will be charged for the remainder that is due.

For all Blessing Participants who will be traveling to Korea, the Blessing Fee has been discounted to $1,500 to help defray travel expenses. The same payment arrangements as above will apply.

All payments should be made BEFORE traveling to Korea or BEFORE being Blessed if attending a Satellite Blessing.

At each Satellite Blessing Site a donation, a love offering, is also required to cover the expenses.

Thank you very much for your attention,

Sincerely,

Dr. Chang Shik Yang
