RE: Special Workshop, Guidance and Blessing Preparation for Second Generation who have Fallen

To Second Generation members 18 and above who are not yet matched or Blessed,

Those born from the God-centered union of a Blessed Couple are eternally precious to God. The value of this "Second Generation" of a renewed lineage and tradition comes not simply from their individual character or quality of their family. God raised human culture and spirituality from the primitive depths of the fall, step-by-step through a 6000-year foundation of indemnity, including the sacrifice of Jesus, countless martyrs and the victorious course of our True Parents. On this foundation, the Blessing is the beginning point of a new lineage.

Sadly, the real experience of our Second Generation youth, whose parents have dedicated and sacrificed so much, has often been challenging. Without truly understanding or feeling their own value, some have succumbed in times of weakness or emotional confusion, losing their purity by falling. While the eternal value of a Blessed child cannot simply be erased, the course and responsibility of 2nd Generation youth who have fallen is unique, and needs to be understood.

For a young person in this situation who wishes to walk the way of the Principle, there is a clear path to the Blessing, and their destiny as God's son or daughter remains. The worst thing is to pretend that nothing has happened, believing that if no one knows, it won't make any difference. Some have selfishly allowed themselves to be Blessed with a partner who maintained their purity. In every case this eventually brings heartache to both partners and their families.

In the coming months the Education Department, under the direction of Rev. Phillip Schanker, will hold a series of 2nd Generation Blessing workshops around the country. In addition a Blessing preparation workshop will be held for Second Generation youth who have fallen, from April 23 - 25, in a private location in the New York City area, led by Rev. Schanker. Youth in this special category, as well as their parents, are welcome to attend. The situation and appropriate path to the Blessing for this category will be discussed, and we will do our best to answer any and all questions. We will help those in this situation to network with others in the same situation, and find opportunities for matching from the same category. We will always respect and maintain your privacy as well.

Those wishing to attend should complete and return the attached application form, indicating the best phone number and time to reach you. We will contact you with the exact location and time of the seminar. If you need to make transportation arrangements, the program will begin on Friday, April 23 at 7:00 PM, finish at lunchtime on Sunday, April 25, and will take place within 2 hours of any of all New York City airports (Newark International is the closest).

For further information contact Rev. Schanker. You can be sure that your privacy will be respected and protected to the best of our ability.

Sincerely,

Dr. Chang Shik Yang
