The elementary workshop was filled with fun trips, sports, movies, relay races and good lectures. It was a 5 day workshop starting at 9am and closing at 5pm. The age group was from 7 years old to 10 years old. After the first day, I was wondering where I would find energy to keep up with these little tornados. I remember Garrun and I at the end of the first day were sitting on the couches asking ourselves "Oh my goodness, how do the parents handle these kids?" If they're not running around and screaming during the activities, they're running around and screaming during the break. But by the end of week, I was able to get to know the children and we had a really good time.
We had 3 speakers who spoke about the 4 great realms of heart. We experienced God's nature by going to the zoo and seeing his creation. I believe many of the kids enjoyed that, especially the live bird show. They were able to practice teamwork through the relay races and the sport competitions. They had a chance to go swimming in an Olympic size pool and go down the water slides. We went to the movies to see "Ratatouille" where the kids were able to learn about the meaning of friendship. They used their creativity during the arts & craft time. And each team performed a skit the last day at the workshop where the parents came to see.
Each day was full of activities and sometimes we had our surprises with the weather but overall I believe the children were able to learn some new things and have a lot of fun. I want to thank all the participants and the parents for bringing your children to the workshops. Thank you Garrun and all the volunteers that helped with the workshop, your help was greatly appreciated. Thank you.
