We pray for God and True Parents’ abundant love and blessing for all leaders worldwide.

At today’s dawn (5 a.m.) Hoon Dok Hae at Hannam-dong residence, instructions were given for all members worldwide to hold the "Holy Burning Ceremony for the Peace, Unity and Liberation of Heaven and Earth," as detailed below.

Directions

1. Title:

"Holy Burning Ceremony for the Peace, Unity and Liberation of Heaven and Earth"

2. Objectives

2.1 True Parents wish that all members acquire a sense of ownership as citizens of Cheon Il Guk at the beginning of the age of the Realm of Life of the Unity and Completed Settlement of the Parents of Heaven and Earth. With this in mind, members should carry out the Holy Burning Ceremony so as to accomplish the liquidation of all false lifestyles and bad habits of the past and to make a new start.

2.2 All blessed families must resolve to be Owners of True Love, True Life, True Lineage, True Family, True Nation, True World, True Cosmos and True God by carrying out the Holy Burning Ceremony in the age of the completed settlement of the realm of life of Cheon Il Guk.

2.3 All blessed families must be families inheriting the heavenly tradition as God’s substantial objects in the age of the completed settlement of the realm of life of Cheon Il Guk.

2.4 All blessed members must have a sense of ownership as citizens of God’s nation as families having received the Blessing, inheriting the blood lineage on the foundation of the harmony and unity of heaven and earth as citizens of Cheon Il Guk.

3. Time Period

14 ~ 21 October 2002

4. Participants

All blessed families (including those who have received the preliminary blessing)

5. Attitude

5.1 Repent for and liquidate past mistakes

5.2 Resolve to start anew as citizens of Cheon Il Guk

5.3 Resolve to achieve the liberation of our native land by restoring our tribes and through tong ban gyeok pa (breaking through in our communities and neighborhoods).

6. Items to Prepare

Each participant is to individually prepare an item that he/she can offer with the same heart as if offering his/her most precious possession (e.g. necktie, scarf or handkerchief).

7. Guidelines

Sanctify the prepared item with holy salt and burn it:

7.1 At your family level resolution rally; or

7.2 Together with other families in your church under the guidance of the church leader; or

7.3 In accordance with FFWPUI 2002-30, at the time of blessing your tribe, conduct the Holy Burning Ceremony after holding the Resolution Rally for Harmony and Unity Heaven and Earth.

Each family is to perform the ceremony just once.

Spouses in circumstances that prevent them being together can perform the Resolution Rally and Holy Burning Ceremony separately.

8. Additional Direction for the Holy Burning Ceremony

National leaders must remember that the resolution rally must be held not only at the individual and family levels but also at those of the village or district, township, town or city, province and nation. At the resolution rally, leaders must explain the purpose or objective of the Holy Burning Ceremony and have the participants join in the Holy Burning Ceremony.
