9) FEEDBACK ON THE UTS TOUR REPORT

1) TRANSFORMATIONAL LEADERSHIP FROM UTS ALUMNUS AND TRUSTEE REV. DR. MIKE JENKINS (UTS’77)

The following is an excerpt from a report from Rev. Dr. Mike Jenkins in FFWPU NEWS #984 Dae Mo Nim 08/19/2005 www.familyfed.org

Please read the full report.

"Please reach out to everyone who ever knew True Parents. Tell them that Dr. Yang (UTS’97) and I and our core leaders are sorry for the mistakes we made in loving brothers and sisters in the history of the American movement. We want them to come home. In their own way. According to their own hearts. They can connect and support True Parents and build the Peace Kingdom. This is the time for healing and love. Its time for all our family to be welcomed home. True Parents welcome all to come back home. This time we will make our house a house of prayer for all people.

Those of us who are strong should repent and reach out with love to all our former members and bring them home. Let's repent and forgive each other. Share the grace of True Parents and make a new start. Our movement could triple in size overnight.

Why do I feel this. On this tour I met members who cried with me that they felt accused and rejected because they couldn't keep up with everything. They felt alienated and judged and separated. Some were hurt because they were pushed without love and they grew distant in heart. Yet, on this tour, I met members who left our church 20 years ago and somehow through so friend they kept in the church came back for this ceremony. Somehow, everyone who came and accepted True Parents over the last 34 years were very very special people. They represented profound preparation in their ancestors and in their histories. That's why once they knew the Principle was true and they understood and believed in True Parents, no matter what, they know deep in their original mind that its true. They can't let it go. They long deep in their hearts to come back home. Our church has changed so much but many don't know. We are still struggling through history but we are now struggling as families. Rev. Kevin Thompson testified recently that a former member came back to the church and was so shocked at how things have changed. He had many concepts of what would be required for him to return. He was shocked to see how the gate has become so wide.

We blessed central families, as the chosen people have become mature and seasoned people who have been walking this path going on 40 years. We are the American movement that has now matured and come of age. That's why in our communities you will now find Elders that have suffered greatly and overcome. They are people of heart who long for our communities to expand and to embrace and restore all people.

Dear God, We are ready !! Please bring us those that are suffering in America. Our blessed couples are ready. We are still struggling but we are ready. Bring on the suffering of humanity and place their burdens upon our backs. Our legs though they are shaky they will not give out under the weight of humanities burden because we see True Parents walking before us with the weight of all of humanities sin and burden upon their backs. "

2) IRFF HURRICANE KATRINA INFO - ICHINORI TSMUGARI (UTS’04)

Thank you so much for your wonderful support of IRFF’s 30th Anniversary celebration. DVD’s of the Awards Ceremony and of True Mother’s life, (which we made to honor her life work), are now available. Please let me know if you would like to order them. Preparations are now underway for the upcoming IIFWP/IIPC Conference (Sep 10- 17).

We are becoming more aware daily of the magnitude of the devastation caused by Hurricane Katrina. The death toll is estimated to reach more than 1,000. The threat of disease continues to grow in the unrelenting heat and growing stench. Displaced evacuees, who lost everything, can barely imagine their next step forward. Much help is needed.

Mr. Richard Sapp, IRFF Director of Long-term recovery, is the IRFF official coordinator for this relief work and is already working with FFWP, ACLC’s Rev. Rawls, CDR (Christian Disaster Response), and other agencies to provide relief. IRFF has established a warehouse where relief materials are being sent. Also, volunteer teams are being organized, more are needed. They will be housed at a State Troopers Barracks.

If you would like to donate to the overall hurricane relief effort, please send donations to IRFF International HQ in Tarrytown. If you would like to send money specifically for Blessed Central Families affected by the hurricane, please send it to FFWP HQ with the family’s name indicated.

Mr. Sapp telephone: Home (904) 389-2789, Cell (904) 859-5396 and e-mail: sappfam@bellsouth.net.

3) PRESIDENT BUSH DECLARES 9/16 DAY OF PRAYER FOR KATRINA’S VICTIMS

THE WHITE HOUSE
Office of the Press Secretary
For Immediate Release
September 8, 2005

NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER AND REMEMBRANCE FOR THE VICTIMS OF HURRICANE KATRINA

BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA
A PROCLAMATION

Hurricane Katrina was one of the worst natural disasters in our Nation's history and has caused unimaginable devastation and heartbreak throughout the Gulf Coast Region. A vast coastline of towns and communities has been decimated. Many lives have been lost, and hundreds of thousands of our fellow Americans are suffering great hardship. To honor the memory of those who lost their lives, to provide comfort and strength to the families of the victims, and to help ease the burden of the survivors, I call upon all Americans to pray to Almighty God and to perform acts of service.

As we observe a National Day of Prayer and Remembrance for the Victims of Hurricane Katrina, we pledge our support for those who have been injured and for the communities that are struggling to rebuild. We offer thanks to God for the goodness and generosity of so many Americans who have come together to provide relief and bring hope to fellow citizens in need. Our Nation is united in compassion for the victims and in resolve to overcome the tremendous loss that has come to America. We will strive together in this effort, and we will prevail through perseverance and prayer.

Americans are reaching out to those who suffer by opening their hearts, homes, and communities. Their actions demonstrate the greatest compassion one person may show to another: to love your neighbor as yourself. Across our Nation, so many selfless deeds reflect the promise of the Scripture: 'For I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in.' I encourage all Americans to respond with acts of kindness in the days ahead. By contributing time, money, or needed goods to a relief organization and by praying for the survivors and those in recovery efforts, we can make a tremendous difference in the lives of those in need.

Hurricane Katrina and its aftermath resulted in a considerable loss of life. We pray that God will bless the souls of the lost, and that He will comfort their families and friends and all lives touched by this disaster. As the American people unite to help those who are hurting, we share a determination to stand by those affected by Hurricane Katrina in the months and years ahead as they rebuild their lives and reclaim their future. We are determined that the Gulf Coast region will rise again. The tasks before us are enormous, and so is the heart of America. We will continue to comfort and care for the survivors. We will once again show the world that the worst adversities bring out the best in the American people. NOW, THEREFORE, I, GEORGE W. BUSH, President of the United States of America, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution and laws of the United States, do hereby proclaim Friday, September 16, 2005, as a National Day of Prayer and Remembrance for the Victims of Hurricane Katrina. I ask that the people of the United States and places of worship mark this National Day of Prayer and Remembrance with memorial services and other appropriate observances. I also encourage all Americans to remember those who have suffered in the disaster by offering prayers and giving their hearts and homes for those who now, more than ever, need our compassion and our support. IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand this eighth day of September, in the year of our Lord two thousand five, and of the Independence of the United States of America the two hundred and thirtieth. GEORGE W. BUSH

4) UTS ALUMNA, WIVEKA LAMSON (UTS'84) IN CAMEROON

HIV/AIDS Education

With its Pure Love Alliance (PLA)- program, Women’s Association for Peace in Africa (WAPA) president Mrs. Wiveka Lamson (UTS’ 84) hopes to sensitize the whole population of Cameroon with emphasis given to the population between 14 – 25 years. This special age group we want to educate and invite to participate in A NEW SEXUAL REVOLUTION.

PLA promotes:

• True Friendship between youth

• The building of Self-esteem, which is the foundation for good choices in life

• Positive outlook on marriage

• Youth to learn what Absolute Sex is and how it prepares for a Healthy, Happy marriage

• Youth that Abstinence is the safest method against STIs and AIDS

For the youth who is already sexual active, PLA teaches that everyone can still change his/her behavior and start a Secondary Virginity and live a healthier lifestyle and prepare for a future, healthy and happy marriage.

WAPA’s philosophy that happy and healthy families are the foundation for a stable, peaceful nation and world, is truly our main reason for emphasizing our efforts in education of pure love life skills among the youth. Building PLA Clubs with supporting and uplifting education among youth, WAPA believes this will have a healthy and positive effect on the nation as a whole.

WAPA feels an urgency to spread the PLA message not just in neighborhoods and schools, but also among the many women’s group, villages and village associations, especially in an effort to educate women, mothers and educators, social workers, religious communities and people in general concerned about the youth and its well being with the CLUE 2000 Curriculum.

We hereby call upon the solidarity of the national and international community and all concerned parties to help provide funding that can assist in the development and sustainability of this program in Cameroon. The youth of Cameroon are at extreme risk at this time and it is a national and global responsibility to work together in securing their future.

Please contact Wiveka at wrlamson@yahoo.com or wiveka@lamsonfamily.org for more detailed information about the project and to support with financial or material donations.

6) DENVER REPORT, ALUMNUS STEPHEN HALE (UTS’94)

We started a "marriage group" of blessed couples meeting every month to share about our relationships as husband and wife. There are 8 couples who have been willing to "reveal" themselves to others. Into our third month we have been helped a great deal by John Gray's material from "Men are from Mars..." especially his video series. We have also had meetings initiated by Dr. Bill Brunhofer(UTS’84) at church discussing the "Love And Logic" material, an organization based here in Golden, Colorado, another excellent source of material. I relate these efforts to you in reference to your discussions with alumni about "needs" for marriage guidance. Through this kind of activity we are putting this into practice here in Denver. Also as regards to creating money and the management of it, I believe until we change our mindset about wealth nothing changes. That's why my wife and I plan to attend a seminar by T. Harv Ecker this fall which deals with one’s "financial programming". The seminars are free by the way, you just have to get there.

The source of training that I'm connected to came from "the Enlightened Millionaire Institute" (EMI) run by Robert Allen and Mark Victor Hanson (Chicken Soup author). That is a fee paying organization for multiple streams of income i.e. real estate, stock market, infopreneuring, business ideas. T. Harv Ecker is connected to EMI but has his own organization called "Peak Potentials" (peakpotentials.com). The seminars are free at the moment (if you buy his book). As you probably know it's one of many out there.

7) LOUISIANA ALUMNI

John Monestere (UTS’90) and family evacuated to Baton Rouge and stayed with the Thomas family until they were allowed to return. The Denhams were there also during the storm. All of the UTS alumni in LA sustained little or no damage and are back in their homes with the exception of the Nkoue family who are in a shelter in Jackson, MS.

Randall B. & Lindy Denham (Both UTS’79) are fine. They evacuated to Baton Rouge and have returned to home in Laplace, LA)

Jean Marc Nkoue (UTS’2000) and family were evacuated to Jackson, MS from New Orleans, LA. Do not know when they can return to Canal Street Center. Maybe water damage and/or also toxic.

8) CONSCIOUS LIVING, CONSCIOUS LOVING

As you know, UTS likes to honor the spouses of alums.

It is wonderful to see the wife of alumnus John Wiemann (UTS’78) being so active to help youth.

Conscious Living, Conscious Loving If this sounds intriguing to you, keep on reading........... It is an invitation to all of our BC's between 18 and 25 years old to spend time together for: fun activities/ exercises, sharing and discussions about hot topics, all for the purpose to get to know ourselves and each other better and learn useful skills for happy and successful lives. We will meet 5 times throughout the fall, every other Tuesday evening, beginning September 13th from 7-9 pm at the Wiemann's house 12627 Kornett Lane, Bowie, MD 20715 301-809-0989 RSVP early, because we like to keep the group under 10 people, small, cosy and fruitful. "Aunt H." will lead the group, assisted by Dasha Howell and Josh Berndt. Dasha's words to all: "You can be free to share at these gatherings your own personal feelings about certain topics that are on your mind at this time." Johil's words after the first meeting:

"I think this program is the best idea my mother ever had. I had fun that evening and I am sad that I will not be here for the groups since I am going off to college. It is all about becoming awake and aware that we should not let life happen to us, rather the other way around..........that we can make life happen and there are a lot of choices. I am happy we have each other to share and learn from each others wealth of experiences." More explanation about the gatherings: Invitation for your children in the age-group of 18-25. I always felt sad that there was not much marriage and family training when we were young blessed couples. Therefore I took much training in the field of psychology and family education throughout the years, became a Life Coach and then specialized in teaching Parenting Skills and helping families with teenagers in addictions.

Watching my own course and so many others, I feel compassion to help the next generation(s) to do better by experiencing joy in living and loving early on in their relationships. I would wish and hope that they can find their gifts while young and use them wisely. I am happy to answer questions to parents about the program or hold a Tele-conference information- call about the curriculum for those who are interested or concerned. If there is enough interest I will chose different days and times when parents can get on the phone, evenings and weekends. The sharing in the group will be about issues of life like:

* Who am I? What are my gifts? How can I discover them? How can I use them?

* What do I want and hope for life? Life mapping, Mind mapping exercises, collages....

* What does a Blessing, blessed family life, etc.mean to me?

* Which way would I like to get matched: by TF, my parents only, or do I want to interview the potential spouse? If so, what are my questions and what purpose do my questions have?

* Do I understand the difference between "being in love" and "learning to love"

* Triggers, Communication skills, conflict resolution

* Which friends do I choose? What does friendship and relationship mean to me?

* ........and the list goes on. We might not cover all that during the few gettogethers, but it is a beginning to stir up something amongst the young BC's, young couples or couples to be, that there are things to learn... and the earlier the better. We had great fun in our planning meeting and already know more about each other. At the end we realized that we should do this for some time amongst ourselves, but then we can invite young people from school, college, old friends from the neighborhood and promote Father's vision and teach God's way of marriage and living. How about that?

With much love,

H. Wiemann

9) FEEDBACK ON THE UTS TOUR REPORT

A Letter from a friend of UTS

I read your report regarding your "tour" around various states. I was most impressed by the willingness on your part and others to take on such an effort. Although most of the feedback could be "dusted from archives" I was still appreciative of the efforts. I think the root of the matter is always leadership no matter what field it relates to...most magnified by the religious arena, since faith and vulnerability are so intertwined. There were some new concerns such as death, divorce and retirement. Good luck with it...I'm sure you are finding this to be very fulfilling for you and I know that you have a natural way with people.
