On behalf of UPF-NL, I would like to invite you to participate in our January European Leadership Conference (ELC), to be held in Bergen aan Zee, near Alkmaar. The purpose is to share with you the founding concepts and motivation behind the establishment of the Federation and something of the life and work of the Founder, Rev. Dr. Sun Myung Moon.

There will be plenty of time for open discussion, as well as more relaxed sightseeing and evening programs. On Friday evening, there will be a presentation UPF's Middle East Peace Initiative, with personal testimony of participation, and on Saturday there will be an afternoon conference, including two talks, followed by an evening of entertainment.

These conferences were created to give UPF Ambassadors for Peace a deeper understanding of UPF and there will also be an explanation of the Ambassador for Peace Initiative and associated Peace Councils. There is also a sight seeing program, created primarily for visitors from abroad, but Nederlanders are also welcome to attend.

The conference language will be English (with possibilities for translation if needed). The main lecturer will be Tim Miller, UPF-Europe Vice-Chairman, from Britain; participants come from all over Europe at the November and December conferences, from Albania, Belgium, Bosnia, Britain, Bulgaria, Finland, France, Germany, Luxembourg, Portugal, Sweden, Ukraine, and The Netherlands: natives of those countries and others originally from Africa, Guatemala, India, Iran, Japan, Suriname, Thailand and Timor.

UPF-NL's conference centre, Huize Glory, is a former country mansion, built at the beginning of the last century. It is a national monument, visited by students of architecture and those who know of its pre-World War Two use as a holiday home for poor city children (Biovacantieoord), thoroughly renovated for modern use. There are fabulous views from the tower and wonderful walks in the surrounding nature. And the food, with vegetarian choice, is excellent. UPF members and their children assist in staffing.

The fee of 150 Euros includes the whole program, accommodation (sharing a double room -- a single room is 50 euros extra) and meals. If you would like to attend, please complete the attached registration form and send it to me and I'll forward it on.
