The Words of the Beutl Family

Facing corrupt leaders in the Northeast Region -- Part 17

My dear brothers and sisters,

At the end of the previous installment I quoted from a post to which one member responded: "This is why each person needs to have a personal relationship with God and True Parents and know Divine Principle. Also why the three levels of reporting is important. Father said, 'If a leader says you should only go through him to the higher leader, then that leader is Satan.'

Hmmm, this guy is in Russia... maybe some returning resurrecting dictator spirits have gotten the best of him. Does anyone have anything good to say about him?"

To the point, "This is why each person needs to have a personal relationship with God and True Parents and know Divine Principle." The former missionary to the Northeast continent commented: "Absolutely. Unfortunately, that is the first thing that this guy attacks -- he tells the members that ALL their previous education was wrong and that they DON'T really know Divine Principle. And sadly because they have such a shallow (but popular) concept of 'attendance' and 'absolute obedience', they just sheepishly follow because he is their new 'annointed' leader. Ironically, that is the result of their previous 'wrong' education that he is now exploiting.

But I really find it hysterical that he is trying to prevent his OWN words and directions from being spread around. If his words are so GOOD and important, why wouldn't he want others to hear them?

That and his trying to cut off the members from the internet are really classic Satanic moves to try to keep himself hidden from outside scrutiny and keep them from connecting to anyone that might be 'closer to God'. Sadly it has already worked in Ukraine."

To the note, "Father said, 'If a leader says you should only go through him to the higher leader, then that leader is Satan.' Hmmm, this guy is in Russia… maybe some returning resurrecting dictator spirits have gotten the best of him." The former CIS missionary answered: "Trust me, those spirits have been at work in the Russian movement for years... nothing new there -- just this one has brought it to a whole new level.

This all reminds of my first CF in NY CARP back in the late 80's -- Mr. K. Same arrogance, same 'messiah-complex', same methods of isolating the members from anyone and everyone -- and eventually became completely possessed. (At one point, he even said that the coup d'etat attempt against Gorbachev was caused by Dr. Seuk's NOT uniting with him.) Same evil, dictatorial, master-slave garbage that this clown is espousing now."

Did things really have to get that bad in order for them to be brought to light – to the attention of our worldwide Movement? I have been speaking out against this kind of corruption in our midst for many years but have been blocked by leaders who were trying to hide their own sins from becoming known while most members remained indifferent towards their crimes and did not stand up against what they knew to be wrong in our midst.

To my sharing: "Jin Pal Chung says that only if husband and wife are full-time members they are considered to be a central Blessed family. Otherwise they are just a Blessed family."

One person noted: "This reminds me of Reverend Ahn who gave 40 day lectures in Europe Germany and gave everyone a number and called members only by their number. Finally when True Father got word of what was going on he got rid off him and removed him from giving lectures all together.

If it is True what Chung is doing Elder Blessed central families need to take immediate action and have him removed from his position even if we have to set up a Facebook page to achieve that..."

What is the right attitude to have in such a situation? So far it seems that members could do nothing against the crimes committed in the top ranks of the leadership. Did those top leaders report to True Parents about their wasting millions of dollars which did not belong to them and about misusing their position, about how many members they have pushed out of our church through their self-centred behaviour while demanding absolute obedience of brothers and sisters as it is still practiced in many countries of the Northeast region?

The way forward is clearly through taking responsibility for what is happening. I would like to mention here the mail I received this morning from Avaaz with the following report: "A 5th grade class in Hamburg just saved their classmate Gleb from deportation -- all it took was a petition and a few thousand signatures. Gleb fled to Germany to get treatment for Leukaemia. He got an operation that saved his life, started to attend school and quickly became top of his class, but then the government tried to send him back to Russia. His classmates started a petition on the community petition site to their local government officials to stop the deportation.

When the petition took off, their council member started paying attention. And in weeks, Gleb was saved, able to continue the treatment he so desperately needed. His friends saved his future, and it all started with a simple step -- click below to start a campaign on an issue you care about or send this email to a friend. You never know who might start the next great campaign to change someone's life or change the world! With just a few focused minutes, Gleb's classmates kick-started an amazing campaign that led to an impressive victory. Imagine if all of us committed a little time to start a campaign -- there's no limit to what we can achieve!

Starting a campaign only takes a few minutes, but the impact of success can last for years. Plus, if the petition gets enough support on its own, the staff at Avaaz could pick up the campaign, add strategic advice, media help, and even send it to a wider list of members. We've got tonnes of tips and advice to help you along the way -- all it takes is to get started, share your passion and you can be on your way to winning on any issue -- local, national or global.

Send this email to the people you know who have great ideas about how to make the world a better place or click on the link to be a part of it: www.avaaz.org/en/petition/start_a_petition/?cl=2929370881andv=25689

Many Avaaz campaigns have been started by Avaaz members,... All these took just a few minutes to get started. Let's become world-changers together and multiply our impact by the thousands."

Just as we can use the internet to campaign for good causes and initiate positive changes in the outside world we can do so to finally implement the fundamental standard of accountability in our organizations. For example, it is clear how many millions of dollars (Euros) dozens of our brothers and sisters have fundraised during the past one and a half decade for the restoration of Ukraine – the Fundraisers know their results – but there is no account for how these millions have been used for the restoration of the 50 million people living in that nation.

Only Jin Pal Chung knows the answer how he spent these millions. Is he not responsible in front of the Ukrainian Unificationists as well as the worldwide membership to account for how he used the millions that were raise by sacrificial brothers and sisters?

As long as we allow top leaders of our organization not to give a public account on how they spent the money we will never see an end to the corruption which has been going on for many years in our midst. And collectively we are definitely co-responsible for the misuse of money and positions, etc. because we knew about them and did not make sure that they will be eliminated from our Movement.

To conclude this instalment I would like to quote from one heartfelt letter from my spiritual family: "Dear Nikolaus, these letters are a real shock for me. Slowly I realize how all of this is happening. Yes, behind the scenes it is possible to work – hidden from the eyes of other people. It also happened to us, in the New Hope center of Jardim. The leader took all of our money from my husband in a very deceitful way. He sent his friend, who was the manager of the Soya plantation where my husband worked. He said, if you invest your money, you will receive 10%. My husband believed the friend of the leader as he was the friend of all; as a nice person he should be trusted, and his whole family was very nice. Then the leader came along with a new car, bragging that he will now go to Korea, treating us in a spiteful manner, telling us, 'You can't do that because you have no money…'

Yes, Nikolaus, that was a painful experience. I was upset about the situation but we could not do anything because then they did not let my husband work anymore at the plantation and I was also kicked out of True Parents' house and was not any more allowed to cook for the leaders. Because now all three Korean leaders lived in the house of True Parents like three archangels who were doing their secret things.

Afterwards I had a dream about that leader acting like Lucifer who intruded Blessed children in a very deceitful manner, e.g. playing football with the boys in the New Hope school and always touching the penis of the boys during the game… Because I told that dream at the community meeting some members rebelled against him. All these families who spoke out were then thrown out…

From Jardin we went to the home of my husband where the nephew of my husband took our last money. As an experienced leader in our church he knew how to steal money through empty promises which my husband believed. He hoped that everything will go well but all went wrong which made also our eldest daughter became negative towards the church, saying that 'in the Unification Church you are only welcome if you bring money, but when they have taken all your money you are even thrown out. I do not want to be in such a church whose leaders are so selfish and materialistically orientated.'

That was the worst kind of shock for us as parents. A real tragedy. Our children made the experience of being pushed to work late into the night when fundraising -- in order to reach the goal. The leader stayed at home all day and was only concerned about controlling the money which he took from the members. If they fell asleep during Hoon Dok Hae on the next morning they had to do 400 bows. Our daughter obeyed out of fear and when it was too much for her and she wanted to go home the leader did not let her. She called us in tears, begging, 'Please get me out of here.' She wanted to study music but there was no support for her from the side of the church. Money was only for the leaders freely available, who drove big cars and whose children wore nice cloths – everything at the cost of the members.

Yes, Nikolaus, that is not easy to digest. We simple members do not easily recognize what is going on in the hearts of leaders as we are too naïve and do not check whether it is true what we are told. The leaders tell us only what they want us to know...

I do not want to burden you with this letter but I feel compassion for my brothers and sisters when they believe blindly. I hope that everybody will wake up soon before it is too late. Thank you very much, dear Nikolaus, and all the best, with all my heart, your sister…"
