The Beginning of the Chungpa-dong Church Era

Three days after Reverend Moon's acquittal, on October 7, 1955, the headquarters of the church moved from Changchoong-dong Church to Chungpa-dong Church, located at 71-3 Chungpa-dong 1 Ga, Yongsan-gu, and prepared to vigorously expand its activities. This was the first building actually owned by HSA-UWC and having the dignity of a church headquarters. Previously, by contrast, meeting places had always been rented. This could be considered, externally, as the first restored church sanctuary. Furthermore, it became the center of the lives of the church members at that time, a melting pot of the heart with constant spiritual activity. It was here that the church was restructured, and that the holy songs composed, published, and distributed to members.
