On May 16, 1984, the Day of the Love of God was declared at Belvedere. It signified that history had entered the era of the establishment of the ownership of love at the same time as restoring the lost heir-ship centered on the love of God and True Parents.

"Centering on parents' love, we should make a stand. We should stake our claim. What day is it when we claim our ground before Satan and before God? That is the day of the love of God. We are now in transition to an era which we will go through centering on God's love. Why? Because hell on earth has been closed up-locked up in a prison; hell imprisoned, being driven into the Kingdom of Heaven. Can you understand? [applause]

During this era, therefore, you have held prayer meetings: the Il-Jung prayer. what does the Il-Jung prayer meeting signify? As I have been saying until now, it has the worldwide and historical meaning of being connected with the realm of shimjung. The Il-Jung prayer meeting constitutes the association to unite with shimjung that, more than anything else, gives love centering on parents. It is a pledge. The time to make a pledge is when we pray. That is the meaning of the Il-Jung prayer association. You should know that it has such significance."
