The Home Church movement which had developed as a new witnessing activity since Reverend Moon began to emphasize it in October 1978, is a movement of service, love and sacrifice. The home is a place where love can settle and rest, a nest of peace and happiness. Therefore, the home must be more true, and more fresh, than any other place, and more fresh, than any other place, and faith, love and peace should originate there and bear fruit. As the home is the basic unit of the building of heaven, it stands to reason that the home church in which a family can believe and be established, should be built before other places of worship.

The Unification Church has strongly promoted the Home Church movement, viewing it as the basis for the building of the Kingdom of God on earth. More lately, this has developed into the Tribal Messiah movement, which will unify religions on a new level, and, as a ray of new hope in the darkness of human history, guide humanity toward the realization of world peace.
